Grado SR125

I cost several auditions.

On Emple significantly better than the 60 Sr 80 Sr & not bad but definitely e ndessous.

Very good balance, bass farms (not like Sennheiser) and a medium fruit Detailed acute very good

An undeniable musicality perhaps most managed to
Sr 325 less seduced me and Sr 225 can change the game

Indeed, the Sr225 seems more cohrent in sound approach, but seems a little accentuated in mdium / treble of systematic fawn, unless it is the SR125, which is a little bouch but I think for the first case.

So very very good product, but attentio nd open type therefore quite audible screw screw from the outside environment.

I have this headphone for 10 months. I am a big fan of headphones, so I tested several before making my choice (Beyerdynamic DT, AKG K701, Audiotechnica ...).

Strengths of the Grado SR125:
Vintage look, spatial, treble and midrange beautiful, quality / price ratio

It has, however, some negatives:
Abundance of plastic, comfort sizes of less than kind (including AKG K701), severe withdrawals

It's been 6 months I use it, and I listen to each m'extasie yet the musical quality of this headphone! With its intimate, charming, and return all the details, a spatialization of the different sound elements super accurate, look great (plain, light and robust, and comfortable too), a 32 ohm impedance that allows it to pass over everything that has a headphone jack, this headset has it all really ...

What I like least ... uh ... the sound is crystal clear, so he must to be careful if you use it to mix (it is recommended not to mix that headphone for that matter, children) because they may be disappointed after .. . The other thing that is no longer a failure now is that it has a jack 6'35 (and not a 3'5), so that I had to buy the adapter Grado 6'35 to 3'5, which still costs € 25 ... But now I can use it without problem on my portable CD, MD, my Mac, and my digital piano, and he assures donf without having to push the volume. Attention is an open headphone, it is not isolated from outside noise, and it is not suitable for the sound in the studio. it's a headset in a quiet environment, but what fun!

I had a choice between equivalent "civil" in the Sony MDR 7509 (I can not remember the reference), Beyer DT 770 (closed), Beyer DT 880 (open), and I did not want to Sennheiser, too expensive and too fragile y'avait shure ear headphones too.

I focus on sound quality and versatility: the farewell Beyer, who seem really good, but the high impedance can not be used on portable devices, they need a special headphone amp to enjoy all the sound qualities. The shure looks good, but apparently it can hurt the ears in force, and also pays the small size and brand. A bit like the Sony, where you pay the brand as well, despite its high quality and impedance of 28 ohm. I then discovered the GRADO SR125, and there was the best headphone: numerous awards, a unique sound, 32ohm impedance, which is a registered américine a disaster in the United States, but is deliberately (and unfortunately for us) not exported. But look hard enough, I found a site where to order it for € 180 including postage.

Quality / price ratio: in the States you have for much less (less than € 150), but to choose between paying the Sony logo or pay the import, I preferred to import, and I do not regret all. This is a headphone full of life, that made me love again music and headphones. The sound is super dynamic, spaced, clear, precise, music is present and alive.
With experience, yes, I would do this choice, or I will take the SR 225, which seems to have a more neutral (best suited for the mix?). But I quibble here ...

In concluion, this headphone is an excellent alternative to traditional brands, because it is robust, a very high quality, a must for portable audio players, and finally not so expensive ... And you will not regret it, a truly exceptional listening pleasure.

Grado SR125 I possde the past 5 years I'm used to listening to music on a string Rega (Mira, Planet, Elac) and I find that the sound of this headset is very transparent while trs maintaining the Contents.

APRs have cost lots of headphones (Seinheiser, Akg, Sony, Grado in price of around 1000/1500francs I finally exploded my budget to offer me the SR125 (if I remember correctly I have purchased more than 2000Frs)

The more that I DCID to buy it: the feeling of air between the instruments (feeling much trs suprieure to infrieure MODELS end in the same brand).

The Grado SR125 is trslger and the pressure it exerts on the ears is just right.

I think his main default: foams based on the ears are not comfortable, their contact is irritating to the skin, and I dificil to support this headphone a long time.
Also time to foams dsagrgent, I will try to change them, and if I found that can adapt and be comfortable, I find these headphones really perfect.
