Sennheiser HD 430

I write this post to archive ... do not try this headphone on "webshop"

This UFO was offered to me by my father in the 80s. It was the same, usually on his head 2 to 3 hours per day. I put it in a box for over 10 years, not having the utility.

Then one day I decided to use it in my office, listening to the radio or Zique evening. The atria were completely dead.
After a brief overview of the Sennheiser site, I noticed that they still existed in parts, almost 20 years later.
Mid-2000s, I paid € 16 for service of Vitry (94) without the order because ... in stock!

To date, I have not had the best headphone ears, balanced, lightweight and comfortable (open headphone). I recommend also to some ears between headphones of this type (over 300 €) before judging anything else. This will prevent us from writing ... nonsense.

That's why I buy only headphones this great brand. This is where, admittedly, the Germans have a few light years ahead of us in terms of industry and sustainability.

- How long have you use it?
I lost count of the year, for over 15 years

- What is so special that you like most and least?
semi-open (do not heat the head), comfortable (much more than my new eh250 very tiring due to the pressure of the branches), use hi-fi at the base and connected to my instruments (guitar, keyboards, electronic drums).
Connection cable card handy and always available as spare parts (and the foam ear hook).

Solid material, quality of materials and joints, the tissues holding the foam did not move and are more comfortable than the skins such as "leatherette".
I change the crushed foam because for some time (dealer Parts Specials efficient in Paris: Paris 28 rue D'Tele Aid Alesia 01 43 27 17 17).

The least: perhaps with a little more dynamic, it would be more effective at low volume.
Instruments:
key semi-weighted Casio PX110: impeccable, requires a volume just harder to find one of my eh250 sennheiser (headphones closed, bought a year ago)
Roland TD6 drum: drum that tonic eh250 least for the rest made little difference.

Hifi: balanced spectrum, homogeneity of low, mid and treble (unlike eh250 that grows on the bass and treble).
- Have you tried many other models before buying it? yes Koss and AKG's but at the time I chose a weight / price / sound.

- How would you rate the quality / price?
Given the elapsed time, good. I do not regret my purchase.

- With experience, you do again this choice? Yes.
The HD 430 is primarily a HiFi headphones properly balanced place instruments in space.
It is good for my keyboard and my guitar, but lacks a little low for the bass drum.

The headphone is eh250 DJ, convenient to bring out the bass drum of the battery.

I put 8 because I have long been amortized, as well as its manufacturing quality and spectral balance.
