Shure SRH1440

Used for a week and was not able to try it before, I buy fingers crossed. Q / P excellent for what I did, not recommended for audiophile activity, definitely too accurate ^ ^

headphone bought for use home-studio owners to replace (supplement eventually would come back) of my Sennheiser HD-555

The atria
The ergonomics are improved, the rooms receptions ears are perpendicular to the head, not having very prominent ears even when they touch the bottom of the headphones. it's not very nice, I find a parade sliding two cotton cleanser (not soaked of course) on the back-to raise the back of the foam and rub my ears less. The velvet lining is super nice.

The arch
Filled with small pads upholstered in leather (or faux, I could not tell the difference) to sense and for once I do not have to parade ^ ^ gonna finish with taped around cotton.

The weight
The unit is quite heavy (343g, 260 for the hd-555 I and 170 is perfect for the hd-439 which I find too slight to give an idea)

Tightening
Until it takes is little afford to keep the bow high enough so that it does not support too much on the top of the skull, by setting all the good it becomes far more focused on pleasing!

Durability
The plastics used are very good, as well as the lining of the ear, I would have preferred a headband cushions in velvet rather than leather, but it's personal.

Connectors
Detachable per click, however, it is not meant to be handled daily (this is indicated in the instructions) and actually, despite the flawless finish, this removability is made for transport, not for storage.
The perfectly symmetrical connection is less convenient and comfortable to use a connection on this one headset.

Audio quality
I confirm the on-mag words on the surgical precision of sound in all registers, it is diabolical precision and revealed details that I had never paid attention to the pieces that I knew very well yet. Mediums and treble niquels the grave were the depths but lack a bit of power for my taste.

The downside, multimedia use or for listening to music on headphones in general sounds a bit like low-end headphones as it brings out all the imperfections present in the music. Oversaturation, crushed dynamic range, noise, you hear all the little below not very clean! but hey, it's his job after all! and it really lacks punchy bass for songs.
Where complementarity with my 555, I already had a tendency to put a little too much bass in my mixes, it's not going to go in arranging. However, just to hear the bass there was enough, finally a fairly simple way to measure them correctly.

The stereo image
Good, more contrast than my HD-555 that I found excellent, it sometimes feels a little too close with the foreground but the depth is
