A subwoofer worthy of the name
Published on 12/06/14 at 08:17It will soon be two years since I got it to complement my KRK RP6 IIs, which lack some lows, for my taste. With a frequency response spanning from 34 - 130 Hz and 113 dB SPL, it allows me to have a better overall precision while, at the same time, relieving my speakers and, obviously, it helps me improve my mixes.
Unfortunately, I can't compare it to any other subwoofer for monitoring, but in relation to other subwoofers labeled as "hi-fi" at the same price point, there's simply no comparison, the difference is flagrant in favor of this subwoofer.
For the price, it offers comprehensive connection possibilities: TRS, RCA, XLR inputs, adjustable high-cut filter, low-cut filter at 80 Hz,...…

For the price, it offers comprehensive connection possibilities: TRS, RCA, XLR inputs, adjustable high-cut filter, low-cut filter at 80 Hz, bypass via footswitch (not included, available optionally), and phase inverter, to be ready for any situation. It's pretty impressive in terms of dimensions, which you should consider in case you don't have too much space available.
To conclude, in terms of performance, I'd say it's all right, it has enough power to tear the walls down, but don't panic, it has a control to adjust it according to your needs.
It's a very good subwoofer that does what you expect of it.

QUALITY / PRICE / POWER
Published on 04/22/11 at 17:49It's nice, it's powerful and it makes you tremble. I use it in my studio. It can be connected via XLR or RCA and JACK, I think... In short, it's comprehensive and includes controls to filter the low frequencies, etc ...
SOUND
UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVEN'T COMPARED IT ENOUGH TO OTHER SUBWOOFERS, TO BE HONEST, BUT I HAVE A YAMAHA HS10W that was more expensive and whose diaphragm got loose after 6 months (120euros), besides being less powerful and having not such a good performance in the lows as the KRK ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it with a pair of VXT8 and it changes everything!!! This sub will give your room some balance, especially if it doesn't have very good acoustics, thus improving...…
