« A good turntable but missing some options »
Published on 06/20/14 at 01:38How long have you use it?
Well now 5 years in mobile due to one to two per week prestas
Goodies:
At the time of purchase and in this price range it was one of the few to provide key management with usb directory. The direct drive platter is really close to the feel of vinyl, hot cue are super handy, I'm a fan of the pitch bend function, the pre-scan on the computer bpm pieces is convenient, search by criteria (date, bpm ) is an asset when you're lacking inspiration. And finally they are generally reliable, I have not had too many crashes in the evening (not a single white because of it anyway)
Cons:
The first point is the lack of sharing of mp3 one deck to another, it's a shame. The second is the effects that are more of a gadget (only the filter is actually usable). And the last is how to change the number of time loops, it is not ergonomic and I sprawled a few times because of it during a mix.
Reliability: Because I use them for 5 years now I can talk. They hold the road, obviously a little bug from time to time it happens, but overall they are reliable and robust given the conditions in which I am working (mobile, dust, humidity, etc ...)
The value for money is very good nothing to say about it.
With experience, you do again this choice?
Today it is better for sure, and I think the change soon (they retire fixed in my studio), but if it again, I would do this choice without any hesitation.
