Released in 2004, Numark has surprised everyone with this concept CD player touched the real vinyl. A single plate are kind with many features, very expensive at the time but which has suffered as often in new technical concepts especially for early versions worries.

At first sight and as often Numark is massive, bouré electronics, much less glamorous and vintage Technics that's for sure but it's nice anyway. To make a quick description I would say that output levels is very well supplied with RCA connectors for connection, very well thought out when we know that the cable connections to botch force. I had MK2, I had changed to stronger. For the rest MIDI IN / OUT digital output. MP3 CD player, wheel and display track on a small dial. The pich is very sensitive 06/12/25 and 100%, Mutli phaser effects wheel, sonar, slide, echo, filter and chop and loop function in real time very well done and facille to use. The tray is raised and the real hit vinyl is stunning!

The sound level is a very good deck, no slowdown, no bugs (if it works properly), the effects are very well rendered. The player supports MP3 quickly enough, it will me I'm lucky to have a CDX that does not fatigue, but I know that the player had been changed before I got it. To mix the pitch is quite sensitive, rather than on the TTX, BPM is displayed on the dial. The "false" vinyl responds perfectly, I do not feel any difference with a traditional deck is awesome ... and it is even more for the scratch because I have not bought the CDX for vraimment mixer.

Indeed side scratching! It is enjoyable for the little that the heavier tray Numark preferred. Personal I do not like what is too fluid as Technics (except for mixing), so is the cross fader tables, I prefer a little more resistant as being quite bourin I find more detail in my phases . It's really impressive because it not idle, it is very accurate and well transcribed ... basically it's the pleasure of a break beat, without wear, without the cell that ... in short jumps can donfff go! I made some easy CD chopper on the net in MP3 Tools, I coupled to a Vestax CDX MPC 07 Pro and I use a PC to send Loopers (http://yourlooper.com/). .. and I scratch until cramp ensues ... basically I'm having a kid!

Overall, this is sure to mix with Serato Rane new tables, and all the business Taktor DJ today, nowadays buy CDX it seems unthinkable and then the CD is a little has been. on the other hand for those who especially love scratch alone or accompanied, those who do not want to put in the final set 2000Euros DJ fashionable and do not want to start with a Gemini table or SYNQ platinum, those who do not want to s 'emerder find breakbeat still drinking, or tired of the cell that jumps, a CDX 150euros listening today! In other words: shit! A good table or 200euros 300euros on occasion ... for less than 500 bullets just find happiness without losing quality! I do not regret my acquision even if in the future I dirigearais closer to the model above, the ultimate weapon ... the Numark HDX Hard Drive with its ... more for its aesthetic side, I must say. good .. but easy to find cheap final prix.Au not I'm glad I managed to give a second life to the CDX!

What do the teams Numark to evolve this model because it is one that seems to me the more conceptual level as the technique of scratching, in the field of design, Fx, the digital display ... etc.

It is with great disgust that I've realized that the engineers (the CDX) have no concept of planned obsolescence of this machine (be it mechanical. Or electronic.).

I had a first generation not really interesting different problem.
The two months since I bought 2 and is pleasantly surprised with the latest releases updates nickel. Some bug from time to time but nothing serious any more than another.
I tried C324 Stanton, Gemini CDJ700, Pioneer CDJ 1000MK3, 800 et850.
I love the touch vinyl.
I like least the 10kg weight lol.
Go for my 200 euro is good.
Yes no doubt against really pay attention to the latest versions.

The +: replica of a turntable,

the -: the bug, the updates, the weight of not reading usb.

Did you try many other models before buying it?

yes DENON (DNS) and Pioneer (CDJ)

How do you rate the quality / price?

At the end the price was expensive for a final result very controversial.
I have some bug when I get my cd but the use I make (ie no personal occasionnellle and evening, parties ...) it passes.
It still seems that it was not completely successful platinum. The proof is no longer produced and there is even the ref Numark.
Too bad because the principle of a CD player is identical to the vinyl top.

With experience, you do again this choice?

The Numark CDX 1 is a table top do unit that has a record player type of feel to it, for the old school DJ’s switching over to CD’s and mp3’s this unit is perfect for you. Just slide your cd in the front loading dock and you can start scratching with the “record” that’s on top of the unit. it’s a nice big scratch wheel/ record. Its made to look like a record so you actually have the feel of an old school turntable which I personally love. I feel like Numark hit it right on the head with this unit. Some people who aren't in tune with all the DJ gear and equipment will actually think you are on an actual turntable. With dim lighting and from a short distance you cant tell that its really an mp3 or cd player!.

You can loop and scratch on this unit and not to mention the automatic beat matching which is awesome. There are many effects on this unit like the filters which I like a lot and how easy it is to get the echo chain that I want. All of the effects can be changed how you want them to you will have complete control.

The Numark CDX 1 is mp3 compatible and all of the cool functions that you love about these units can be done on cds as well as mp3’s. I love the features of the Numark CDX 1. Some of the featurs of this unit are, that it has a “matrix display that will show all the info such as the time, mp3 song name and show you the wav form of the song and all of the cue spots and bpm. All of the slow down and start up speeds are easy to alter and use. The Numark CDX 1 is a straight forward piece of gear that will do exactly what you need it to do when you need it to do it. If you can spend a little more money look into some of the higher end Numark’s, you will get more features and effects.
