it depends what your interests are, a studio for EM is different to one for guitar rock

we play a very heavy fear factory type music.
1 rythm, 1 lead, drums on one channel, 1 bass guitar, 2 vocals.
we waste more time with software studios and never get the sound we need
i dont want to spend $400-$600 for a digital recorder but if it gets us away from the computer and back to playing it would be worth it
we are not professionals so a simple program or digital recorder is what we need but which one?
