This guitar was initially flagged by the Fender Custom Shop, and then declined in production coréennne. Initially planned as a special limited edition, it eventually remained in the catalog a few years now.

Note that the color photo is very misleading, in reality it is bcp + dark (almost black on stage). Its color varies rouge-bourgogne/noire lot depending on the light.

1st observation: The base is excellent violin, varnish, finish, sound vacuum, etc. ...

3 Details are in my opinion not up to this superb violin:
- The stock pickups (question of taste)
- The mechanical
- The bridges

Another detail: the factory setting was disastrous (handle, action ...) direct passage from the maker to whom she has also made a big impression. A good start ...

UTILIZATION

Shape, access to the tweeter is the same as a traditional TV, the gaming experience very close.

The apprehension of the handle is more easily and comfortable, less thick. On this model, you can also go lower in action.

SOUNDS

1st observation: given enough hybrid characteristics (mahogany set neck ...), those who expect a priori to form Tele sounding like a Les Paul are completely wrong.

Certainly, the attack will be a little less bright with more roundness and sustain. But the overall tone remains very, very Fender Tele, the relationship is still present.

Those who love the classic Tele but it sometimes criticized both too "harsh" in some situations, may therefore pay close attention to the FMT.

OVERALL OPINION

I own the first model released in 2005, equipped at the time in micro Fender (atomic HB). So I do not know the record of Duncan mounted today. The stock pickups were too smooth, neutral and modern for me. I have them replaced immediately by Humbuckers Gretsh / DeArmond. Since FMT expresses a great potential in a record vintage, rock and blues. With bcp de corps and a strong personality.

I also replaced the jumpers with U.S. standards and the mechanisms by Schaller Auto-lock to rotate serenely in concert.

On leaving, I gained around 800 €, already an excellent deal. At the current rate today, there is even a case +. If you should level sound, go for it. Its current low price may mean the stoppage prod shortly ...

Put it in the hands of any qualified luthier, and the verdict does not lie: a few details (which I listed), in terms of quality pure instrumental, this guitar is usually 3x the tariff, minima.
