Bought this seet heart from a local music store where it was on consignment. I played it once and was sold. I had never owned a Tele ( county stigma) but this one was different. Paid 700.00

This Tele Plus a 96 model has 3 Gold Laces in it. a 5 way switch and has a mini toggle switch also for tons of combiinations. Not your Dad's Tele! I can get the classic Tele twang with no effort but ehat impressed me is I can get a Texa Strat sound out of the neck and middle pickup. so it's two..two guitars in one. A TelStratocaster! The finish is awesome. Mines a crimson burst with maple neck and board with a pearloid pickguard. My first look at it was "no way" I play mostly Gibsons. I'm glad I decided to test drive it. One of those zen type things where the guitar fits your hand like a glove and "speaks" to you. I love it. It is presently my #3 behind a Baker B1 which is the best guitar made, and my 68 Gibson ES335 Custom. I love the way the ash wood shows through the crimson finish.

all aspects of it are great.

Great quality. Bettr than what Fender is pumping out now I believe. all the new stuff seems like crap to me.

If you run across a used one in good shape..give it a demo..maybe you will be surprised and join the Tele owners club!

I got this new in early '98 from a local shop, spent about $800. I was gearing up to play live and needed a better main ax than my standard Tele. Also, this seemed similar to a Strat I had unsuccessfully tried to buy from a friend who's a keyboard player.


Overall, it is well built for a modern Fender product. It has a nice range of tones -- I can actually play lots of blues, rock or even jazz on this thing. It has a hot, crisp bridge pickup sound, a mellower neck sound, and a nice combination of the two. Also, combining the mid and bridge pickups gives it a twangy, Robert Cray-type tone. The transparent blue finish, pearl pickguard, maple neck and chrome Tele knobs make this a really nice-looking guitar. The paint looks neat under the lights, too.


Where to begin... I had problems right away with the electronics and the dealer. Fender doesn't advertise its own customer service, so that left me to search until I could find a Fender rep. The bridge pickup was bad from day one, had to be replaced. In the first six months the selector switch and both the volume and tone knobs also had to be replaced. The shop where I bought it -- Fred's in Shillington, Pa. -- failed to set it up properly, and on subsequent visits appeared unable to correct this. (Actually, a competent shop would have noticed during setup that it had electronic problems.) I finally paid for a setup from my own guitar guy and chalked it up as a lesson learned the hard way. (I later bought several thousand dollars in P.A. gear, none of which came from that shop.) I'm pretty wary of Fender these days -- you have to test everything very thoroughly.


The Tele plus has three Lace Sensors with a five-position pickup switch, plus a mini-toggle that allows you to play the bridge and neck pickups together without the center pickup (a classic Tele combination). The neck is a maple bolt-on with micro-tilt adjustment. Jumbo frets. Very nice to play, once you get it set up properly.



Fender wants you to use its dealers, so hold their feet to the fire and make sure they follow through on their commitments. I like the vibe of the Tele -- the chrome switch panel, slim neck, clear tone, simplicity. Getting a better version of it is so much the better.

My Telecaster is a model over United States in 1993, bought in Lausanne in 2006 to EUR 1000. This is one of the first Fender Telecaster made by more between 1990 and 1995. Peculiarities? This guitar is a true collector. has the argus, ellevaut more than EUR 500 ... Jonny Greenwood had two models with a sunburst was stolen. I play with a Voc Cambridge and a 15 Fender Deluxe.
Attentio Naveces the Deluxe, the sound can be too sharp and aggressive.
The best sound of this guitar comes from the three micro connectio in parallel.

I play with for 3 months and I will redeem this guitar tomorrow ... if I have the great opportunity to find another!

Recently purchased (late January) I was looking for a telecaster Plus for quite some time ... Well, the least we can say is that I am "Plus" that much!
Micro Channel Lace Sensor Blue Lace Sensor pickups and two at Red bridge. Mine is equipped with a vibrato so I do not know at all if the guitar silent original quip at least I had never seen before vibrato MODEL with this one!
Good for the rest I think the view Previous topo is very well no need to do in the repetition.

UTILIZATION

The guitar is heavy I find good is not a Gibson but still same. Channel telecaster false love, for me the ultimate race has nothing to say. Access in acute could not be easier.

SOUNDS

I play with a Vox AC30 CC2 and how to say good ... the ultimate combo, microphones allow for incredible versatility. The micro switch configuration allows a lot of micro but its fuck the sound I wanted, the Lace Sensor sends really Steak on Jupiter.

OVERALL OPINION

I am really happy every time I use it I feel like a kid Nol is that happy, satisfied and fulfilled. The ultimate guitar for me.

Made in the USA between 1989 and 1996. One Lace Sensor Blue pickup in the neck position and two coupled Lace Sensor Red pickups in the bridge position. Poplar and ash body (like most Custom models), which are quite heavy woods. Varnished maple neck.

Mine was made in 1995 and has a rare Mystic Black finish that produces green reflections in bright environments. The guitar looks wonderful.

TBX tone control that adds a low-frequency filter.

I bought it with its original case with the red Fender logo.

UTILIZATION

Very playable U-profil neck. Perfect frets (unlike my Mexican Strat).

Access to the upper frets is like on every Telecaster.

The guitar is heavy and you'll notice it when you play two or three hours standing up! But you'll also feel that you have a high-quality instrument in your hands...

Is it easy to get the right sound? You'll get several good sounds: you can get a classic Telecaster Standard sound (with the bridge pickup), a Strat sound AND the sound of a Gibson guitar!!! It's the quintessential electric guitar regarding versatility.

SOUNDS

The sound is the main asset of this guitar: incredible sound versatility, high output level of the Lace Sensor red pickups... A killer sound! From the mellow sound of the neck pickup to the very aggressive sound of the humbucker, you get every possible sound to play blues, reggae, rock and even hard rock. If you're looking for the typical Telecaster sound with its famous twang, you'd better choose a 52 RI for example.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for two years and I can't seem to get tired of it. I don't play my other guitars anymore (Mexican Strat and Fender Thinline)...

Its sound versatility is its main advantage. The only con is the balance: the headstock is a bit too heavy.

I wanted a Telecaster American Deluxe and I saw this secondhand Plus version at a web store after looking for a long time. I compared them and the American Deluxe seemed like a toy compared with this Plus version! What a sound...

I bought it secondhand (as new) in 2007 and I would buy it again. Twice, because I'm still looking for a second one...
