Published on 11/30/11 at 11:48Fender telecaster is it great sounding instrument that has a unique feel and tone all to itself. Even though it's a Fender brand product it has its own natural feel very different than the Fender Stratocaster guitar. It's a nice bright spanky tone that works well with a clean amplifier to a medium overdriven amplifier. It doesn't really do justice for any type of high gain sounds but anything where you can hear mild gain it will really bring out the natural tone and character of your playing. It's a very dynamic guitar as well and I think it's a little bit more dynamic than a Strat guitar. Meaning I can hear every single note plucked and nuance of my playing quite well.

SOUNDS
The Fender Telecaster basically has two single coil pickups, a volume control knob, and a tone control knob and that's pretty much it up as far as features go. So therefore there's nothing to be a lot of versatility in a senses using different pickups or if you have humbuckers combined with single coil pickup's. Overall it's a pretty basic and simple design but was revolutionary at the time of his creation. The tone of these guitars are fantastic and my opinion. They have a unique sound and sustain that is little bit better than a Fender Stratocaster guitar. The tone is a little bit crisp and cutting but the sustain is a little bit different in the way it feels and drawn out. Overall this is the kind guitar that you're going to use if you need a specific sound that only a Telecaster can provide. It's a fun instrument and I recommended to anybody.
OVERALL OPINION
The Fender Telecasters usually range around $900 to you about $1400 depending on what version or reissued that you might half. There are some that are custom-built or relict or whatever that do cost a lot more than that but the average medium range would be somewhere around there for this guitar. It's a nice crisp clean guitar that sounds very good and I recommended it to every guitar player who needs a specific time that only this guitar can provide.
