Jay Turser JT-LT TeleCaster
Published on 10/22/06 at 15:00I play the Guitar(Electric & Acoustic; mainly Electric), have been playing for 25 years. Currently rehearsing in a band for gigs months from now. I play Rock, most rock styles, but like Country, Jazz, R & B, Hip Hop, Soul, etc..most styles, really.
I bought this from Maggio Music, Ebay Dealer, for $135; $165 total incl. S/H.
Everything. This guitar is, IMO, comparable to a Fender Tele in the $500-$700 range. Seriously. Test/Compare them. Go to a Music Dealer who sells Jay Turser, play one, then compare to a Fender. They are nearly identical. Likes alot; have NO Complaints. This is not just a glowing review; I didn't know much about Jay Turser Guitars, other than what reviews I've read...…

But, the reviews were correct, and I'm pleasantly suprised. I'll easily play this one onstage. Neck is comfortable, just overall a great playing guitar.
I honestly cannot think of anything to put down about this guitar. Seriously.
Mine is a Blond/Yellow/Gold Solid Body, Alder, with Gold Hardware. The Tuning Pegs are Ping; comparable to Grovers. The Bridge offers either string thru body or hook at the end of the bridge. 3 way Selector Switch. The Stock Pickups are: Neck Humbucker, and Bridge S/C. The Neck Hum has a nice, warm tone, suprisingly for stock Chinese pups. The Bridge has a growl, biting tone. Nice. Maple Neck/Frtbd. Skunk Striping down the back of the neck. It feels/sounds/looks good to play. It came Professionally Set Up; came strobed/intonated very well. Came with D'Addarios, 9-42 gauge strings. And a Gig Bag as well, although I'll get a Hard Shell Case for this one soon. Oh yeah, a pearloid pickguard. Frets were crowned well. Overall, it's a very well made guitar.
These Jay Turser line of guitars, along with the Johnson Brand, give the consumer a more affordable alternative to Fenders. I'd recommend trying these Brands to see how it would suit you as a player. Most likely, you won't be disappointed, unless U "Must" have the Fender. I'll keep my cash, thank you.

Jay Turser JT LT Custom
Published on 12/28/04 at 15:00I bought this guitar on e-bay for $180. This JT LT Custom has the following features:
Flame top
Strings through body
Neck Humbucker, bridge single-coil
Maple fingerboard and neck
Gold-plated hardware
Nicely built, nice sounding. The flame maple top is much better that I expected. Very high quality flame. The body binding is even, good quality workmanship. The neck plays well, and the pick-ups sound good. I can say first hand that this guitar exceeds the cheaper fender models in quality and sound. It is their equal for playability. What can be wrong with saving $300!

This model has strings through the body, which is a nice feature for sustain. However, one of the holes on the back side of the guitar is slightly out of poisition, by perhaps 1-2 mm. A very minor complaint that barelt detracts from otherwise perfect workmanship.
Nicely made, with the excpetion of the single through-hole that does not exactly line up with the others. The gold-plating seems to be of good quality. The finish is flawless.
Highly recommended for any level of player. This has the true Tele sound and feel. I do not regret saving several hundred dollars! This is real twang for less money.

3 position selector, 1 volume and 1 potentiomtre tonalitbr /> Manche stocky, alder body
Table of flammbr corp /> OE pulling strings with 9 / 42
New price under $ 200 U.S.
UTILIZATION
Channel gloss trs correct and enjoyable, it's a good point about this guitar,
I find that mcaniques take much tuning.
SOUNDS
The pickups have an output of about 6 K-ohms each, so it's not violent.
Marshall uses a lamp, your exact is good for this price range, but you will not have the "twang", the slamming of an attack or Telcaster original (it would be too good).

On all mic positions, in clear, distortion or over-drive, all going well.
I did not try lev volume, but given the output level of the microphones, I do not think there have problem of feedback.
OVERALL OPINION
In APRS the manufacturer, the table is not a flame fotoflamme, for a tackle against there on the back, probably to hide the joints of the body sticking pice.
For beginners who flash their look, I advise him without problem, quality-price level is a guitar trs correct, but if you are looking for a Tele. it's not the guitar IDAL, it is clear that we are far from an original Telecaster.
I give him a note-General for 8 / 10 for its quality over price.
