Vague imitation Stratocaster Japan in the mid-70's brand Michigan.
extremely simple configuration with a single micro single coil, one volume, one tone.
21 frets, rosewood fingerboard, brass nut like Danelectro, um ... .. vintage bridge, a bit like some Hofner bass with knobs to adjust the spacing of the strings. Pretty tortoise pickguard.
delivered in an attractive leatherette cover that protects the tile but has a very classy look.
Head not surprising because the classical head telecaster, but rather typical of Japanese type Aria seventies ... not ugly and has a mechanical oil bath properly, but it must do, it surprises ..
the body is thinner than a standard TV with a beautiful sunburst. it's mine on the photo to give you an idea.
More subjectively, manufacturing is more that of course be honest without fly high, it is not a high end guitar, it is far from Greco and Tokai vintage, instead of mid-range. varnish is not too thick, properly applied, the guitar went through three decades without flinching, needless to say that this one does not ask how she is old, it already!

The brand is virtually unknown, probably a brand created for a sign, not found any info on it. The fashion of the time was that many "brands" are named after Japanese city or U.S. state. I also owned a Memphis at that time (77/78), a bassist and a pal Tennessee I think.
the handle is quite nice with a nice binding all around although some hoops hanging a little (a small "filing" of the past will correct the problem).
Ergonomics is good, weight (within 2 kg 5 around ...), small stomach cutting back (ah, those Japanese, always wanting to improve the model ... lol).

the wood has had time to dry, so the board has echoes pretty well empty, and the limited possibility of setting before us, we do not lose this complex configuration ...
I put 5 for frets catching and will request a correction ..

As mentioned above, is empty guitar sounds pretty good. connect to a JCM 600 on the clean channel, the sound is not bad but not great character either, we can not find the twang characteristic of the historical model of Fender.
Much unplug the guitar promises a lot, both connected to the marshall's clean, you stay on this hunger .. the only microphone is what it can, but obviously it is quickly limited ...
in crunch / OD lightweight is better, but rather through the amp ... strangely I found a little grain of the Danish pro, even its a little cloudy, like personal enough, but do not expect this kind of sound on a telecaster.
in distortion is too rough, especially a blatant lack of dynamics.
The microphone is undoubtedly the emergency room to change on this guitar, I hesitate to even type that I will adopt, but as soon as it will change, I'd do an update.
Meanwhile, I just put 5 because we always make great garage song (kind of strychnine sonics) but hey, it's not the use to which I intended ....

I ais for a little less than a month ... a true stroke of aesthetic heart (a real vintage Japanese TV in a very good).
The sound as I said ais is less "exciting" than the violin, but I expected and the replacement of the micro is programmed, is to choose ....
I particularly like his look, and saw the price or I had ais, yes I would do without hesitation that choice!
A guitar builder, certainly not for a beginner, because too typed and not very easy to ring, but a good violin deserves a good mic, so stay tuned .....
