MixGenius is a company from Montreal, French Canada, that now offers an automatic online mastering service at a very affordable price point.
LANDR, the very first smart audio tool service for musicians from MixGenius, is an automatic mastering system that works online. The process results from years of research with universities and audio professionals and master analysis, and is based on algorithms that use multiband compression, stereo correction, equalization, limiting, delay correction and exciter.
MixGenius adds that they don’t intend to replace real sound and mastering engineers but wish to help musicians who can’t afford a real professional or lack know-how to be able to get a decent master for their entire songs or individual tracks for an affordable price.
Three offers are available:
- Hobbyist, free, for an MP3 master, ideal for A/B comparisons
- Amateur, for CAD $9/month, for 4 masters in WAV uncompresses format, as well as MP3 at 192 kbps and mastering setting control
- Pro, for CAD $19/month, for an unlimited number of WAV masters and MP3 at 192kbps, with mastering setting control
