« Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe »
Published on 10/17/06 at 15:00I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. My first guitar lesson was when I was 10 years old. I play guitar and mandolin. Currently i'm playing in a folk/bluegrass trio, and a four-piece rock band. My musical tastes range from rock, folk, blues, jazz.
I played this amp quite a bit before settling on a tube amp that was a little less expensive. You can pick up one of these beauties at Guitar Center for $629.
This Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe is a really nice amp! I played it quite a bit before settling on another brand tube-amp, only because of price. It's got the wonderful retro-tweed cover, chicken-head knobs, and classic grille that all give it that 50's look and feel. 40 watts of pure tube tone gives you plenty of power for just about any gig. A quality 12" Eminence speaker rounds out the sound. Spring reverb, normal and bright switch, and overdrive gives a wide array of tones and styles. Fender quality, great looks, tube tone, what else can I say? A great amp!
There really isn't much to dislike about this unit. The price is a little high, but still a deal for what you get.
Construction was top-notch. Fender quality, nice tweed cover, seemed well constructed.
This is a great amp, it's got that wonderful tube tone and plenty of power. Cool rretro tweed looks, and Fender quality!
