« Amp has a mouth, but not that ... »
Published on 02/25/11 at 14:24Maybe a bit too powerful ... me I put a volume pedal on it.
UTILIZATION
Super simple. And the pedal comes with is really the top, especially since the thread is 5 m.
SOUNDS
Some vibration ... but there, we already push.
OVERALL OPINION
I have this amp for a year. I play it with a Gibson LP studio. So that sends a guitar pretty low. And the amplifier behaves perfectly. With its clean, its just huge, the sound is warm and the amp knobs allow you to add just enough treble. In his "distortion" is really great, but it is closer to the crunch sound as the real distortion. That's why I added a distortion pedal. I play very often but only with what is embedded on the amp. The reverb is really great (though it is not spring loaded) and I leave it plugged in almost all the time. The footswitch that came with the amp is really beefy (the buttons are a bit close). Power level, forcing it rocks and if you want to play in apartments ... immediately forget this amp. Because 40 W lamp, it sends hard. But even at a low level you recover the heat lamps. Indeed, before this amp, I saw no difference in sound when I changed the volume of the guitar pickups. There, it's delicious.
Only downside, when I push the amp with my gibson, bass vibrate the front of the amp ... it does not agree with the microphone placed before transplanting, but it's a bit annoying. I did not really addressed the problem, but I think this problem is solluble. Good if you have other questions, feel free.
PS: I would do the purchase without hesitation. I hesitated with another amp in the same price range and after a year of research, testing and hesitation I always came back to this one.
PS2: There is a written test and video in a Guitarpart.
