All tube amp, 50 WATTS
Two inputs (LOW and HIGH)
Equaliser and fairly basic but effective presence of knob + (very efficient)

Impossibility to move from low to high without disconnect / reconnect (really bad)

UTILIZATION

Amp super simple to use, effective the first time.

Between the Low, the sound is warm, a little crunchy when you push the watts. It's not Fender, but with a good guitar, the sound was really good.

Between the High, was a big crunch (or overdrive) suitable to rock n roll Marshallian. I never heard a sound as crude as that typ l. Excellent.

The major disadvantages of the beast resides in the fact that it is single channel, so it is clear, is it crunch. No possibility to switch (even with an A / B box). I think I found a very good compromise by pushing the channel Low, which I add a Tech21 XXL (bass edition). I approach the channel really High, while keeping the possibility of passing in the clear.

SOUNDS

His marshall, nothing. Bold, powerful (all-tube necessarly), somewhat imprecise (rock n roll, Vade retro mesa). This is perfect for rock n roll. The metal does not scare him either (with some additional effects).
I added to it a Gibson Les Paul Studio (1993), a Jackson Dinky DX (Dimarzio), and just bought Hohner L75 (excellent). I use a Tech21 XXL overdrive (and possibility to have a clear sound), an Ibanez WD7 wah, a MXR Zakk Wylde (booster for solos).

Ouali, with a GENERALLY, they say "uh lolo, you could not turn down the sound STP"

OVERALL OPINION

I use it on Repeat ', a concert, studio for almost 20 years. The amp is from 1984. It's tough. An investment lifetime. CAN NOT SELL A JCM 800 IS PROHIBITED BY THE LAWS OF ROCK N ROLL Marshallese.

Not only I would do this choice, but someone wants to dbarrasser his JCM800, I'm interested ....
