I think S0948 invent anything in the problem he had, this guy has the air sincre. The series of DC (mainly DC2 DC3 and have the same base) using the same Schma and EL84 power prsentent all sound the same tendency dark, diffuse, short as if the cut Tone silent on the LEAD channel.
Yet the solution is simple, it takes very good 12AX7 on the slots 1-2-3-4 (5-6, are less important because DDiS reverb and master).

Search is not the winning combination. I just Retube has a DC2 with it thunder, rang clear, elaborated, this is an amp transformed in less than 10 minutes. Especially forget MESA BOOGIE lamps that are optimized for the rectifier and other + rcent.
