This is the basic Mark2B. At the time it sold the Mesa amp base with options such as EQ, 60/100W the switch, etc.. Mine does not have any of that.
It is VERY heavy.

UTILIZATION

This is the most complicated to set the world amp.
Despite its façade not too loaded, the setting takes a hell of a time to be found!
Both channels may use the same knobs and it comes under the magic before finding the right balance between the two.
So, I do not rule one channel (light) to avoid having to spend twice as much time dealing with the cattle.
There is a downloadable manual on the site of Mesa Boogie but it serves no purpose. It is written in typewriter and they were quicker to advise us of démerder us rather than write technical stuff that does not facilitate adjustment.

SOUNDS

on the other hand sounds here!
It is a real tank. This is a legendary amp that does justice to its rank.
The clean sound is beautiful. This is in my opinion the best light I know her.
The crunch sounds (very quickly reached) are beautiful.
When you push the beast background, we reached the rock in hard rock, this is madness!
It's bold, it's accurate, it's hot and powerful.
I torque to a Bassman to play punk rock.
I can connect all kinds of guitars here do not scare him.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this amp for 15 years. This is my first tube amp and I had a monster bowl to find used.
Now that I know how to use, I do not let him go.

I have to say that Mesa boogie is one of my all-time favorite amplifier companies in the world. They have such a great feel and a great sound that they're continuing to put great fantastic amplifiers into the hands of many musicians around the world. Another noting factor with the Mesa boogie product lines is that they continue to still build their amplifiers right here in United States. With so many companies trying to cut corners and save money and what many times they do is ship off some of their products to other countries to be manufactured.

UTILIZATION

Mesa boogie still keeps his reputation right intact and another great addition to the company is that you can basically jump on the phone and call them up and ask him any type question you need. The very resourceful and always helpful to have people looking for help with their amplifiers. This amplifier is called the mark llB amplifier. It is the so-called first amplifier with the two buffered effects loop.



SOUNDS


This amp is a great amplifier that has a load of tone and soul within its voicing frequencies. This amplifier basically is the introduction of the Simul class system which you see prevalent in the later editions of the mark series amplifiers. This basically allows the power section to run two different types of wattage if you will. So allows a few this seems to generate 75 W power while the other one runs in the class a form of 15 W of power. Like most of the other mark series amplifiers you had a similar EQ control knob front panel. This panel consists of a volume control knobs, treble, bass, middle, Master, lead Drive, and another master. In addition you also have a switch for the bright tones of the volume, and you also have a pull shift on the treble control knob as well. There's also a pull bright switch on the other master volume as well. This amplifier was definitely a stretch in the right direction but it didn't quite match the tone and the desire that Mark ll C+ amplifiers had. And even still in my opinion which is that the mark lll amplifier was the best one out of all the mark series. Still though this is a great sounding amplifier I can give you a solid tone and they're pretty fun to play as well.

OVERALL OPINION


These amplifiers obviously have been discontinued for quite some time. If you're looking for this particular town you can always go with Mark V amplifiers which has this tone within itself. The Mark V is a all-encompassing mark series amplifier that goes from the beginning to the end of the mark series. You can also find these amplifiers from time to time on craigslist or eBay. There nice little pick up if you're looking for cool little combo but I suggest going with the mark lll year mark for my opinion.

There's no words, all of a total quality, a real tank. <br>Almost 30 kilos, unthinkable for such a "small" amp, the fault of the speaker.

UTILIZATION

The architectural configuration is complex. If at the time Mesa had cleverly found a way to put as many settings in so little space, this amp is really not for everyone's hands.
The lead channel is superimposed on a channel, like a big pedal Fuzz / distortion integrated. So you have to go a lot of time on set to find the right balance of sound on each channel.
In addition, a notch of knob to another, everything changes. A real headache ...

The équalo graphic is great for sculpting its sound in detail against!

SOUNDS

... But the end justifies the means, because the sound is to go, at least for the use that I did!
Clean channel on 10, it manages to master and you end up with a crunch 70's to die for. A Boss OD-1 and also any time of the Rock / Hard / Metal 80's out of my hands.
I used it with my Flying V and my Start on the end with the same happiness.

I've never been a fan of the channel "lead" on the other hand ... ok sound Santana was there completely, but it was not accurate enough for any rhythm. And still I speak of the lead channel with a Clean channel 1!
Channel lead on a 1 = big crunch boiled or infamous explosive Fuzz is to taste. I've never been a fan of Fuzz, then you will guess or bent my heart!

The effects loop is a brand new technology at the time, the use of that color the sound paradoxical to death, and throw a veil over the upper register. Maybe the settings are bright to compensate, ca never really bothered personally.

OVERALL OPINION

I used it for about two years. The father of my friend lent me guitar until I can buy him (a huge thank you to him!).

Yet I did not buy for two reasons.

1) The weight. 30 pounds and my room and the 3rd floor of a house. Hello test the stairs. All our roadies improvised there are broken teeth: "Here take the Marshall Stack on the wheels down!-Uh, I'm going to have breakfast, then ..."

2) a power unusable today. 1 to the Master, and sound engineers Lighthouse and Bikini in Toulouse me announced that I was too strong. Imagine my room. The volume was fine ZERO (sound out anyway).

I had a Fender Blues Junior, transportable, usable and practical.
On the comparison is difficult or impossible. But what is the most beautiful sound in the world when it is virtually unusable?
