UTILIZATION

This is my first tube amp, I find it very easy to configure, I get very easily sound I want, very powerful, with the volume knob on two, there was already a big big sound!
As I bought used, I went to the manual (in English) on the Peavey site. It is very clear! We learn little about the amp itself, but use some tips are given to keep the lights (do not let near a heating ,...). For beginners tube amp, it's really nice to read such recommendations.

SOUNDS

I play everything, and I admit that the amp suits any type of music! From blues to metal, rock to reggae, all is good!
I played with an American Stratocaster, which necessarily allows the amplifier to provide the best of himself.
The sound is quite crystalline, sharp, but in low amounts in depth, we get a really good warm sound. Put some reverb, and you'll get exactly the sound of "((Snow Hey Oh))".
I also use a Big Muff Pi, a Cry Baby and I will soon have a CF-7 Ibanez. The sound of the pedal is very well reproduced.
In short, the sound is really perfect!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for over a month, this is my first tube amp. I did try for a professional music that is also fine.
A small problem, the amp does not switch to Stand By, which can be handy when you want to connect an end, change the guitar ...
The footswitch is also disappointing, it is optional and does not turn on / off the reverb (engage the effects loop button allows you to reduce the reverb if you do not use it).
The equalization is done only on one of the two channels, shame!
I tried a few dozen tube amps before I decided to be expensive Marshalls are frankly well below this amp there! I hesitated between Fender Hot Rod and the latter, but the Hot Rod is about twice the price of the CL30, slightly more powerful (50 watts, which is too) and really not great quality / price ratio.
The CL30 is a truly excellent value for money, especially used (about 500 euros with new lamps).
I do not regret my choice!
