The Special 6 Ultra (MSRP $439.99) features the same Volume and Tone controls as the original Special 6, the same footswitchable Boost, High/Low Power switch, and a similar eyelet board. In addition, the Special 6 Ultra features a 11-position Depth control designed to fine-tune the low-frequency depth. The Texture switch is designed to adjust the treble roll-off to give guitarists more control over their tone.
The Special 6 Ultra ships with a 6V6 output tube for overdrive tones, and it can accept a range of alternate output tubes as well. The Special 6 Ultra also features an all-tube buffered effects loop.
