Published on 01/21/13 at 04:14All Tube Amp
3 channels
2 bands of EQ (the lead and crunch to share in one)
reverb
DI out (reb box) integrated
effects loop
midi control
powersoak (0 watt, 1 watt, 5 watt, 18 watt, 36 watt)
Half star less because the redbox crackles of the parasite in the xlr. But I admit that it just might be a bad ground / earth home.
UTILIZATION
Easy configuration, this is not a cockipt of a320.
EQ bands are tiered according to the pieces I spend 0-9 both treble / midrange / bass. For satus, there are things that sound after 7.5 but not every time.
To play with or without headphone hop mixer it goes.
Really think this amp!
SOUNDS
The cleans are clear, there was a lot of head room even 1W rehearsal studio, I go to the rhythm with a good drummer.
Beautiful heat lamps and light crunch. lead to, well, is this: the lead, it is better not to risk a chord on this channel, it sounds not. In contrast to go soloing is good.
The reverb is not top a little too "spring".
Watts are there. In rehearsal, if I want to have the volume to 12 to heat my lamps, I find it hard to switch to 18 watt, 5 watt enough.
More rounded (more lamps too, because some of them are busy with power) when one goes in watts.
I'm not crazy pedals. I mostly used the effects loop to handle my volume.
OVERALL OPINION
I was looking for an all-tube amp head to get a consistent sound in any situation (at home preparing my settings, do not depend on the gear changing rehearsal studio or hire gear for mini-concerts that we are forced to make).
Frankly I have my money, I do everything with, single game, recording répets, concerts.
The sound is not too typical and allowed to adapt to many kinds. it will probably be limited to go beyond the tough rock (hence the metal from metallica ... we penalty).
