SOUNDS

I like the sound (sounds) Marshall.Ce grain british blues rock / rock 60's & 70's to 80's hardcore and heavy metal.
The clean "Marshallian" dirty and crunchy (Hendrix), the crunch and overdrive type AC / DC, the "brown sound" to Van Halen's debut, the distortion of the hard n heavy 80's and thrash old school (jcm 800 ) and the hi gain "Marshall 90's (or boosted jcm 800 sl-x )....

In short, I'm a fan of Marshall tone!

At first glance this amp has it all: From its very very clean clean (surprisingly for this trademark) of crunch and overdrive varied and large ultra 2.The saturax mode of EQ knobs are responsive (it changes the other heads !) and bass galore (with deep)!

Basically everything that was missing at JCM900 dual reverb!

Yes ..... but there is a but and size! SOUNDS! That's not it! Lack of a dynamic 100w.Trop Treble style to reduce the volume pot trebble to 2 or 3!
The clean is certainly very clean but charmless, too dry ... 2 is the lead draft and breath trop.Manque precision! The deep switch is very efficient but a little too much and better not to engage I think an eq pedal is more respectful base.La grain is too much!
The tone switch is too "artificial", but that food makes you hungry too mediums and also nothing better than a good eq in the loop!

Too gain unnecessary because unusable except desire of spray!
In my opinion this is not a Marshall for the purists but for non marshall.
I found that those who do not like Marshall will play more on the jcm 2000!

My Les Paul std has never sounded so bad on this amp!
Only OD1 with the gain pushed too / deep switch and the tone switch off / low 7/mid8/treble 3/presence 3 / Masters at least 3 and ts like overdrive and I have a miracle ..... Good sound Marshall though somewhat too sharp and dry .... missing dynamics and magic.

Ok this is a Marshall "modern" but it does not sound that good I think.

NO SOUL! not enough to overshadow a jcm 800 and 900slx!

OVERALL OPINION

If you've ever played on a Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 (all the jcm 2000!) Will:

1 / please you time until the day you will hear what a good Marshall!
Marshall 2/Vous disappoint you and not be distracted from this brand because not representative of what a Marshall sounds!
3/vous'll love ... all the better. That you do not like Marshall in the end!
A tip for those who are interested and the metal sound Marshall
Jcm 800 or 900 SLX with mxr eq 10 "in the loop and overdrive mxr zwylde before the amp.
The Marshall crunch is the basis for further in distortion pedals with 2 little good. Not sound like mush on the lead 2 of JCM 2000 but instead a lot of punch and precision with lots of harmonics.
