UTILIZATION
Configuration:
Some see it as a disadvantage to others as a sign of quality.
The knobs are very responsive just turning the sound changes a bit tricky to find the sound at first but once you read the manual you immediately understand better how to adjust the frequencies.
The manual provides is not in French, there are ways to find one easily translated into French on the Internet, I suggest you get him, it really helps to understand how to tune the beast.
All sounds are good. After find the sound that's another story, it asked me months of research and qq qq additional cost to find a sound that suits me in Disto. I play mostly metalcore and adding as a TS9 pedal and a pedal EQ 10 bands like MXR M108 gave me much more precision and definition in low and high frequencies to play this style of music. That this change in any way the grain of the amp, either one likes it or not love is a matter of taste.
SOUNDS
Will it fit your style of music?
Yes, it is very versatile and more, this amp is not made for that metal.
The clean sounds are nice (depending on the settings option of having a warm or slamming)
What kind of sound you get and with what settings ("crystalline", "fat ",....)?
All types of sounds provided you take the time to settle (it's not the transistor or a metal box ...)
Clean the lens of warm, mild overdrive of its more runny.
The distortion rock to heavy metal's everything going the versatility of this amp is incredible.
You can play all styles of music.
I have 3 guitars tuned differently:
Gibson SG Standard drop D / Standard
Jackson SLS3 granted Drop C
Epiphone Futura Custom FXme granted Drop B
This allows me to play in different registers with guitars with microphones to different sounds. The receiver complies with the grain of each guitar.
I love all the sounds on this amp, it really is versatile, but I still prefer the sound that is unique Disto with a grain very special not found in any other brands.
OVERALL OPINION
For how long have you been using it?
3 years
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
not much, I immediately fell in love when I played on this Riff qq amp with a Gibson SG Store.
What thing do you like most/least about it?
the amount of sound that may have different styles of music that can play on it.
Having said all this has a price and it is very expensive although the quality is to go.
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
A little too expensive prices are currently abused unless they live in States. But good Americans are saying the same thing when they have to buy a unit from the Orange or Diezel ...
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
Yes, unless she wins the lottery I will buy a property Engl Powerball and a Diezel Herbert
