- Tube preamp pedal format (or 12AT7 2x12AX7 possible)
- 3 modes Clean / Blues / Solo
- Gain / bass / middle / treeble / presence / master
- 2 footswitch (bypass / passage and clean / blues solo) + 1 mini switch: passge of clean to blues
- 1 + 2 input for optional footswitch inputs and 3 outputs (guitar amp / power amp / mixer or headphones)
- Supply provided

Mine is a V-Twin of the 2nd generation with a small hatch to access the level adjustment so no such problems with mine (aesthetically it differs from the first series logo eagle wing type Harley at the center of the pedal: it is engraved on the front and hard plastic stuck on mine)

UTILIZATION

Super simple but not necessarily very practical since it has no EQ separately for each mode (for this version is better rack!) The manual is well done with nice tweaks bonus but really not essential to use v-twin ... it is more of a branch and it sounds and EQ is amazing richness and precision, and then even when its format makes it an absolutely ideal portable tool!
I plug in my old Marshall Valvestate 8080 in rehearsal or at home and I already sound very good but the best is to plug in a power amp for live use, as stated in other reviews taking headphone does not necessarily convincing it is good sometimes! Finally, and this is where the v-twin comes into its own: it's great to use direct table or on a tascam

SOUNDS

As I have no problem level difference between modes I really have no complaints about the sound qualities of this preamp: it sounds in all modes although I find the fashion blues a little less readable (in in the sense that I use this mode equalizer and it is the only one that I like) the clear sound is warm, rich and fully scalable and is the disto ... MESA there's nothing more to say!
I play jazz and rock and I really found myself in this little preamp

OVERALL OPINION

I bought in 2001 for 3080 francs New ... I saw a catalog in Total Guitar in 2004 to 685 €! it's amazing how it goes! even the selling of okaz I would win money ... but I really do not want to sell it (although I eyeing on a Mark IV or a DC 10 okaz) and even less to exchange it against something to model type pod or I know not what!

A priori there is to know when buying is to focus primarily V-Twin 2nd generation

In the end it's a very nice preamp and practical perfect for a decent grow under any conditions and can be a perfect complement to a high-end amplifier
