UTILIZATION

The use is bone simple.
For audio, you can either put very little gain for a decision of its most clear and transparent or turn up the gain that may be of interest to distort the signal and compress it a little (some on making voice, bass direct or even snare). Finally, everyone did that kitchen, mine is special ...
I did catch bass distortion directly correct the distortion using the preamp. Otherwise I never use it to catch live guitar or bass.

SOUND QUALITY

The original lamp too saturated for my taste so I quickly changed to an Electro-Harmonix.
The sound is quite nice, it adds heat to catch.
Without him, my shots were cold and felt his wickedly digital.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2005 and I saw my budget could not afford better, but I have had failures:
one of the tracks did more and XLR (gratos repaired by my dealer).

In summary, the sound is more than adequate for the price and its possibilities are wide but the build quality is poor. Because of that I put 8

The XLR repaired last year dropped again. The build quality of the machine is really bad.
I bought one later ULTRAGAIN Behringer T1953 Tube (two-channel preamp tube). The rendering is worse than the blue tube. In this price wins against Behringer Presonus!

I changed the lamp Electro Harmonix Sovtek 12AX7 WA by one. The output level is higher and more difficult to resolve. There are a lot less dynamic than the EH, just as if there is compression.
Also, I had the opportunity to use an Art MPA Gold. It's still something else ... but it is more expensive!
