Audio path 100 lamps (2 lamps 12a * 7) Input and output XLR (requires (a) housing and (a) food sold more, except to complete a rack already equipped, this was my case.

UTILIZATION

Who knows how to use a preamp, not very complicated. The fall in output volume can be more or less saturate the lamps without reaching an output level too high.

SOUND QUALITY

First used with the lamps provided DD, I had some satisfaction (color for its sympathetic voice, effective integration into the mix, but his record was inaccurate. I've changed for Genalex Gold Lion, and result suits me better. Everyone can test various lamps, staying within the specifications (12AT7, 12AU7) is a simple way to subtly change the tone of the preamp. The air + / - serves me little, probably due to lack of Usually, the low cut at two positions is very significant, preamps other brand have not. The preamp gain is not very high compared to the other two (transistors), but nothing that is not dramatic a sound recording under normal conditions.

I could look for emulators 1073 and API 512 of the same manufacturer that are also interesting, but different (to see depending on context) the SPL Goldmike (transistor + lamps) and amplifier handles my sound card. This is the only "All Tube" I tried, it has a clear interest on certain taken and I appreciate it especially on vocals.

Financially interesting case of a complete rack soundskulptor, or consider itself some smaller colleagues thereafter, otherwise, with the purchase of the rack, card and ID feeding, bill rises rapidly.
