Gemini DJ PDT-6000

Contrary to previous opinion, I find that this board cares jerked to a MkII. The board is certainly lighter than the technics but it is very stable and more torque, the tray returns immediately to the proper speed when the brakes or pushes. plateau to less inertia than the technics, yes.
The startup is also faster than the technics.
I have no problems with the scratch (OM DJ S cells), it's not the "grasshopper".
The master tempo, I find it gadjet once it is activated is defined sound distortion audessus above 4%.
I've been almost two years, and I'm glad to have taken the technics. ESSENTIALLY Hardtek mixing and Drum n bass, I'm glad to be able to mount more than 8% (8% / 16% / 35%).
If it was a repeat at the same time, I buy the closed eyes. Now with new models based on the latest stanton my choice would probably be different.
But I find that with this model was a good compromise between the smoothness of the mix technics and brutality of the last couple decks with their monstrous.

I had a friend who was the scratch with an intense level that trs good possd the Gmini PDT 6000. When I look at him do his demo, I found these plates simply gniales in performance and robustness. Mostly it was easily 3 4 times a week with 2 hour minimum session.

So I changed my TT500 against the 2 Gemini PDT 6000 that a friend had for 2 years. I found the Gmini beautiful and torque of 3.7 kg was enough for me amply, and that of TT500 IDAL silent for my friend.

I mix Tribe / Hardcore and Jungle, the sound of Teuf between 170 bpm and 210 bpm.

I've PDT 6000 for 3 years now, I mix 6 hours per week on average. They are simply gniales, performance, the engine does not s'puise even when it persists, the pitch is prcis and does not drgle.

The finish is Russia even if it looks like the Technics MK2, with more features.

Moreover you n'arrtez not talking about the BPM display.

Do you REALLY need to display the BPM? Do you really think this is useful, ncessaire, essential and will help you find a tempo and stall more easily?

If you take turntables, such as this, it is certainly not for its BPM display that serves nothing. Except to confuse you and never understand the principle of timing that comes only with some practice and concentration. Everything done by hand and ear!

The pitch is adjustable 4%, 8% (16% and 32%) but good if you want an easy wedge vinyl, it will work preferences between 0% and 8%, becomes a APRS too sensitive. Gadget but it can be used for cards tempos too great.

The PDT 6000 is a Platinum Premium and it has nothing to envy the MK2, let alone the TT500. No one will make me change my mind t even less posts I've read.

I do not really regret not having chang against former Numark but instead has motivated me move forward and get involved more.

What thing do you like most/least about it?

Super stable, do not jump, instant response of the plate, they return directly to the speed when it slammed slows / pushes the plate to catch an error in timing, for example ... The level is adjustable pitch + / -4%, 8%, 16% and 35% is super convenient, though I rarely exceed + / -8 (but some of my cakes are naturally very fast or very slow compared to others, it happens quite often go to + / -16) ...
In any case I'm not scratcher, I do electro / breakbeat / dubstep and acidtek, and mix this deck is really perfect ...
Negative point ...? I never understood the usefulness of the Master Tempo, I tried to mess with, but without much success, so I dropped the case when the use of what the previous reviews describe just a Gadget enough to point ...

Bah, as I bought them secondhand for a pittance, I can only be satisfied ...
