Reloop announced today that its RP-8000 turntable and MIDI controller is now fully compatible with the Serato DJ software.
The turntable, that debuted last year and was only compatible with Serato Scratch Live, can now be officially used with the Serato DJ 1.6.2, the support being confirmed by both brands.
The MIDI control “strip” installed on the RP-8000 is pre-mapped in Serato DJ, you can then use the 4 combinable performance modes, namely Cue, Loop, Sampler and Slicer.
This new feature does not affect the price of the RP-8000, which is 599€.
Serato DJ is now in version 1.6.2, an update for Mac and PC that, along with the RP-8000 compatibility, also adds support to the Reloop Beatmix 2 and 4 as well as the Numark Mixtrack Quad and Edge controllers. Serato also fixed some bugs in this new version. Note that if you use Rane hardware, a firmware update is required. Visit serato.com for further details.
