« Excellent (super) tweeter »
Published on 07/06/14 at 13:47they are mounted on my B & W 802S1 (the tweeter is the weak point of 802 at the time, B & W did not t he changed technology?)
attacked by a Marantz 4400 and DCX2496 active filters
High performance 100 dB and 50W music (15W RMS) is 117 dB max
HiFi use
SOUNDS
High bandwidth 4 kHz to> 30 kHz
active filter 24 dB / oct LR no reinforcement from 4 kHz by setting fc DCX2496; it is highly modified, the output op amps (all changed and the DAC)
B & W were originally set at 6 kHz, I finally adjusted to 7 kHz, which grows a little more kevlar B & W.
acute ultra precise with this configuration
PS I did a test with simple passive capacity 0.5 or 1 uF (6 dB / oct) filter -> reinforcement; to avoid
OVERALL OPINION
Best listened to date (Klipsch, B & W vintage, JBL, Bose, RCF, Polkaudio etc.)
it is quite expensive € 125 / pce but worth the cost, the range is manufactured for years!
The tweeter is for me the HP the most delicate, difficult to find that the fair presence without being garish. This one is outstanding!
