What characteristics have motivated your choice?

For what purpose?
Music, composition and keyboard + software Recorded audio (microphone)
What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
AMD 64 2800 (1.8 GHTZ) + 2 GB RAM + 350 GB HDD + MIDI keyboard.
+ Windows light
(Config that has run without problem all my gear with less than 6 ms latency, has until today.)
UTILIZATION
The installation is done it without problems?
Big problem of driver, and detection of the device (USB audio device, not alesis io 2 ....), even after full format, reinstall ...
The problem of drivers vennait audio from my webcam (Logitec brand), but even uninstalled and formatted, the problem has not been solved.
That is why, I have been a score of 0
because even the drivers from the official site alesis n have not changed.
Have you experienced any incompatibilities?
YES! Logitec webcam with .... (See just above)
The general configuration is easy?
Hard to do more simple ... set apart for the detection of the driver ...
The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
It is not necessary.

Drivers of shit ... Alesis in my opinion should consider very seriously the problem of the driver ....
c is a real shame because the audio rendering is good, but the latency to the rescue !!!!!!

What software do you use most often?
What you get lag?
Reason 4 (minimum latency of 25 ms, below parasites audio = bad guys)
Cubase (+ 30 ms)
How many tracks you get to record / play time? ...
On reason: 3 tracks .... and poof! ... crash or parasites (severe), so have to get at least a 25 ms, for a clear sound, and listen.
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you use it?
1 week, and c is too ....
What is so special that you like most and least?
I do not even answer .... become just the USB connectivity for audio interresting, but will never replace the PCI (without wiring), directly connected to the source of management information (motherboard and proc)
Have you tried many other models before buying it?
yes, M Audio 24/96 ... only very good memories ...
and DMX6fire (PCI) ... memories even better ....
How would you rate the quality / price?
I can not answer ... very bad experience for me ....

this sound card has a good Q / P 150 € (to be said)
but I would not recommend for those who composed computer music.
I advise also to those who need less than 10 ms latency ... 15/20/25 See ms.
otherwise render audio, in itself, is not too bad, the reverb is really good ...
pity that the drivers are so crappy.
Remember: Alesis c is really good, but not for the drivers ....
With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Absolutely not ... already has the base cards USB ... I feel like it really is not ...

So the stuff back to the store and change for better (PCI please)

ps: I think that I incurred no and that I've had experience with this sound card (I am one of the exceptions)
al hours but frankly latency 0, leave the USB sound cards ... c is like repairing a car with a Fancy seeing ... Whatever the quality of the mold has waffles.
