Use with guitars and live microphone or with a pedal
UTILIZATION
The drivers are very stable, smooth operation with Sonar 8.5 producer after sonar recognizes the correct input (some galleys but once done no problemo)
For now no limit to the use of the software, not stall
my processor is running at 10-20% with 10 audio tracks played simultaneously.
Latency absolutely imperceptible to the ear
GETTING STARTED
Easy installation: the PC recognizes and uses the sound card output alone (already that!).
For input to the recording bin it takes a few settings in Sonar to recognize two well between right and left of the io2.
No incompatibilities encountered.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS IN USE as described in a lot of opinions (stall, drivers problems ..) I think we should rather go to the side of the PC configuration .. Already apparently he must forget the AMD and above have a powerful PC. Before mounting a PC specifically for computer music I used an Acer Core Duo with the io2, and it was a total failure: mind-blowing sound problems, dropping out systematic sonar, ect ..
OVERALL OPINION
Use for about 4 months without problems, before that I test the M audio fast track, and even before that an Edirol something. I find both less convenient than IO2 although in practice the performances are equal.
What I find most convenient: the mix knob USB / direct easily adjusts the volume output when recording without affecting volumes, such as the guitar comes out Live monitoring speakers and midi sounds coming out via usb ..
The ergonomics are very good and well thought came clearly visible on top and everything else (which usually does not move) wisely stored in the back.
I find the price / quality ratio almost unbeatable and I would definitely do it again this choice.
