Config: PC Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 Ghz, Asus P5W DH Deluxe, 2 GB RAM and two hard drives in Matrix Storage (RAID 1 + RAID 0) Vista business.
Usage: home studio recording of each instrument one another APRS: drums, guitars, bass, vocals
The technical specifications I was looking for:
<ul> at least 5 inputs and outputs to save the battery pack pramplis the quality of power supply and one for my fantme condenser microphones between a DI for my instruments (bass, electric guitar, guitar Electroacoustic) latency <2ms to 48 and 96 Khz that it works under Vista (galrer not want a dual boot XP) </ul>
Miracle N1: the UX8 synthse is perfect in one unit of my main needs and allows me to spend my carrment mixer. It goes even beyond replaceable in my VAMP2 also thanks the modlisation intgre amp. I now have an office DGIG and a lot of stuff recycle (sound card, mixer, vamp).
UTILIZATION
Installation fairly easy thanks to the Monkey (a small utility that soccupe any), but several updates a bit tedious THE FIRST connection, even the records of license to operate the Gearbox standalone and Gearbox plugin.
An incompatibility stressful dpart: Monkey Whereas my hard disk RAID0 is not compatible with the Gearbox Help! Ralite but it works well despite lalerte trs
The control panel of the card is trs clear, but no manual trs sen goes well. Ugly of Gearbox is in English, but Careers News of software is intuitive and makes ugly trs almost useless.
N2 miracle: it works on Vista at first.
GETTING STARTED
Drivers stable a priori, Monkey gre alone the updates, cest trs comfortable.

Note: Gearbox plugins have a trs intensive CPU and when the CPU is saturated on its cracks. Therefore prvoir a powerful machine especially under Vista.
JRecording for my part in five simultaneous tracks 96 KHz 24 bit without any problem, despite Reserved Quon could have on lUSB2, the cest pool.

I recorded the drums on 5 tracks raw 96 KHz 24 bit and the bass amp in direct-free and without cab then Grat via modeling
OVERALL OPINION
I am the User for 1 month, whenever jai 5 minutes before me hooked carrment What I find extra cest davoir into a single interface rponse of all my needs with a big sound and a light prt only thing to play right away, most of cable and transformers everywhere, nothing but music.
The converters are of good quality trs little diffrence with the Terratec Phase 28 and M-Audio Delta 44 that jai had before, but benefitted from the 8 inputs 8 outputs. Lamlioration sound is probably more related to the quality pramplis (no breath) and modlisations that can add grain and heat easily.
You can play his instrument while listening to modlisation and record only the raw signal. This then allows the Daffin modlisation rglage read by the plugin when the mix, rather EST gnial as Systm (but trs consumer CPU).
Another thing to note CEST on Systm rduction Gearbox available in the breath (very useful for Electroacoustic guitar sounds or trash). However, I find that the bundle comes with Silver lUX8 is a fair bit at the modlisations and effects available. Considering the price of lengin esprer even when we could have the Power Pack with, but Line 6 will ask for $ 99 more for a machine not clamp
Finally, the look is pretty nice unlike external interfaces else designated in Eastern Sibre.
Given all these entirety and as part of an lUX8 use for leisure and lenregistrement models of good level, the ratio price quality of this beautiful toy is excellent. Do not forget to prvoir PC pedals derrire solid, if not glop.
