scratchy sound on connecting feedback headphone to the the MV7 on an ipad pro

Hello everybody I am using the Shure MV7 on an iPad Pro with a program for recording my singoing for example with a program called Smule to record karaoke songs. When I plug in the headphone everything is fine, but when I switch on the headphone in the program, I start getting a scratchy sound. It stops when I switch off the headphone and the recording is good.
What could be happening ? Why am i unable to listen to the feedback with the headphone?
