To start I must say that this is almost like the MODEL Jackson RR24. So for this notice, in order not rcrire the same thing, I invite you to read the reviews for this dernire Jackson. Indeed, in this test that I will mention that what appear different (apart CHARACTERISTICS general) MODEL Jackson's distribution outside of Japan.

SOUNDS

A single passive pickup sue the guitar EMG HZ so "ugh" some would say, is to forget the "little" originality of this guitar, the booster. Compltement ignorant and eager to try this feature of the "plus" in the end it s'avre that when placed in position, it gives the microphone more Dcibel.

Gadget for some, for others to adopt the opinion, I think will be shared, especially as some do believe that by the EMG 81 (which I began my tired), so active against it .

Personally I loved the sound of the guitar with the booster ON, one of ENGL sream for example, or on the Hughes & Kettner Switchblade, much more than the sound of my RR24. J2SP with the sound seems warmer. In rhythmic, some prfreront EMG 81, but for the HZ solo boost for me is far above. APRS and got the colors ...
As for the switch in the OFF position, I quickly realized that I was using anything. Unless you use a hardware-called "professional" and a testimony of APRS, the foot!

The clean sound is nothing exeptional, but that was expected boost or not.

Note that it is the amp that goes with it, the saying goes, but here it's really obvious.
In possdant good stuff, it is clear that the micro EMG HZ + the boost brings more versatility than a single micro-EMG 81 ...

Note also that the microphone in position makes a noise trsdsagrable if you do not have a ground connection or you play on a "small" amp. Because now I can not explain.

OVERALL OPINION

I have enough exprience on this guitar to talk about it now.
I bought it because I love this form. Also a friend in the silent era and its deuxime me MRIT often windy, but in France it's hard to have this kind of hardware, because of many obstacles , starting with sellers who do not want stores to sell only what they have in stock and never want to look too far, "it does not exist", even with photos support ... In addition j'tais really attracted to this boost, which may be silent way to have her and ca DEFINITIONS bring more versatility than a single active EMG. Basically I wanted a full black with mechanical MODEL dor n'tait but out of stock.

I love the look of this guitar, I often say that it ranks as trs guitar (I like using the Personal floyd dor associated with the yellow band a bit too light). Small dtail, the Floyd is better than the RR24 and it would better the agreement. It's Japanese, but this is the good stuff trs.

What I like least that's what makes it particularity ie the boost. Indeed in order to fully use it you will have the hardware possdiez adquate. Moreover it does not much, so why choose this Jackson Stars?

I tried a lot of Randy Rhoads MODELS shape as I said dj, plus now the ESP SV standard.

The price quality ratio is not good for me. Because for 1150 at basic prices today (it though declining) numbers must be added charges (Note that sal is not justify for me the choice. I prfre a Jackson RR24 limited example, one can honreuse least, certainly a less versatile point of view, but much less demanding.
It is on some will justify the price by the fact that you have something you will not see every day ... But in Japan it manufactures them I do not know how much per year, while Jackson RR24 limited ... dj are all factories ...

UTILIZATION

- The handle is very nice.
- Access to treble is easy and no problem reaching the 24th case.

- The form is a RR & the weight and well above the Jackson RR 24 with more sustain.

- Having the microphone on "EMG 81" which is for metal.

SOUNDS

Yes, it suits my style of music.
- I use it on a Marshall MG30DFX and a Mesa Boogie Calibar 50 and no pedal at the moment but the sound is really good on the mesa.

OVERALL OPINION

I play with it for a year now, I'm not above € 1320 for the price.
Initially I had it had a boost with an EMG HZ H4 who dug in many medium and view I had an accident I enmené in the luthier who do a great job on it.
Numerous times I wished that I bought another half a Michael Kelly Hex Deluxe side that disconnects too.
But so is my J2SP Jackson is really a massacre pure and hard and now much better than the RR 24.
