East West Drum kit from hell 2 comes with 2.4 gigs and over 32 hundred files. All of the drum sounds are very authentic and natural sounding. This plug in does not take much of my CPU up on any system that I have used it on. I have been using this drum kit since around 2004 off and on and it has never given me any bad results. I do feel like the interface was a little more complicated than it needed to be though.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The Drum Kit from Hell 2 was professionally recorded and edited by award winning producers. It has just about everything you could ever ask for except a user friendly interface. All of the drum sounds do seem to be heavier than what I was expecting. I used the original drum kit from hell before this one came out and it didn’t seem like the kits where that aggressive but they really turned it up with this kit making it very aggressive.

OVERALL OPINION

Installing this VST was simple and it didn’t take long, it was easy to install it on my Windows XP system and my Mac computer at the time. I do not have it installed on my newest studio Mac computer now though because I do not feel like I would use it that much and it would be a waste of disk space. It only requires 2.5 GB of disk space though and can be run multiple times without it slowing down your system or freezing.
You can use this as a plug in VST or as a stand alone, I actually preferred using it as a stand alone to route the audio out to other gear. Or just to mess around with the sounds and kits then later work on sequencing with them. There are plenty of samples with this kit and the price was pretty good when it came out. There are plenty of percussion to last you for a long time.

The software works but requires bocou resource (I could not even install a small program suplment DFD) I sometimes jumps and even if the program is demand 256MRam
I think it's better now more given the size of bank related live!

Config stable than its small jumps at times!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 months and I love the quality of the banks ... The settings are almost infinite on
sounds and the battery can CRER we really want in sound I am delighted
I like the least resource demands by the log ... ds so that my settings are done I
CRER hasten to a wave file (with Cubase) and then I treat my battery wave
The VST compatibility is remarkable ..

For the price, with drum Artist have products of references but if certain sound may
parraitre numrique yet, you really apply when programming to give
the spirit of the game and APRS we close our eyes and we believe it!

The installation is pretty boring with its stories of activation code get on the net.
Deuxio, Native Instruments has made available a new version of the sample banks (including the balancing of the hi-hat sounds from the rest), which the installation is a real mess. Since each load a project containing a DFH gives an error message, and you have to recharge the VST in the bank for the sound.
No dedicated manual. We just notice a generic interface Kompakt.
In short, I was not happy there ...

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Asus P4P800 Deluxe, P4 3Ghz, 2GB Ram, 2x160Go DD, soundcard Edirol UA1000.
I bought a second gigabyte of memory in the hope of better to run the app, and it still does it, I still have a lot of problems: cracks, notes zapped, poor audio sync and so on .
I do not 0 because in tinkering, it still manages to turn the trick, but you understood: the user experience is virtually nil.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months.
The big highlight is the sound quality of the samples. It also has several settings on the interface of VST, which can color the basic sounds so sympatoche (including 3-band parametric EQ for each instrument and of course the necessary gain knob).
I regret the absence of a separate output for the ride.

Please note: Native Instruments has totally relieved of any support for this product. Eastwest about themselves with advice on their forums to let go and move on to DF2 have been clearly EZDrummer. You have been warned!
