Native Instruments takes us back to the fifties with its new Abbey Road Drummer sample collection for Kontakt 5.
Abbey Road 50s Drummer features two full drum kits which were recorded in Studio 2 of the legendary London studios, in which additional sound panels were installed in order to simulate smaller rooms were recordings were made in the 50s.
The Spring Kit is a Gretsch Cadillac Green Nitro drums featuring a 20" kick, a 12" medium tom and a 14" floor tom, as well as a choice of three interchangeable 14" snares.
The Autumn kit is late 50s WFL drums, with a 20" kick, two 12" and 13" rack toms, a 16" floor tom and a selection of 14"×6.5", 14"×8" and 13"×3" snares.
In total, the collection gathers 40 000 samples and a groove library offers a selection of MIDI patterns for several music styles (rock’n’roll, country, jazz, R&B). Last, a mixer is present with various effects (convolution reverb, analogue tape saturation, compressor, transient master and EQ) and mixer + effects presets are included.
Abbey Road 50s Drummer works with both Kontakt 5 and the Free Kontakt 5 Player.
