How long: 2 years (I think), and it really changes the approach to a live set. It provides a feature that quickly becomes indispensable to any user of Live live ...
Tried other applications: Well, I do not know if there are others.
Most popular features: simple, transparent and efficient.
Price / quality ratio: at this price, not much hesitation ...
Is what I could redo this choice: eyes closed, yes!
Kapture lets just capture the state of a Live set at time T: level mixers, send, the pan, macros ... Just tapauter on the "Snapshot" button to create a memory of the set. We can create at infinity (it seems) and save its banks. And conversely, just tapauter the snapshot of interest for the recall. Easy!
Developed at the base by Plastikman and Liine.
Either the app is very basic, so it works without problem on Iphone or Ipad. There is also a developed under max app for recovering the function without the use of a touch-sensitive surface.
The big advantage of this software is able to bind a click two totally different states of the same live set: the beginning of a very soft set (first snapshot) mounted in every sense of climax and effects (second snapshot) Retout and ultra soft very suddenly at the beginning (first snapshot). Well, this is a basic example, but it gives the idea.
Second, it may also be useful for those who will use live for mixing, but this is not my case.
Riquiqui prices for utility. And these are the only ones to do (I think).
Usability archi simple. But no need to complicate when the function is simple to provide.
Found no crash, even a little heavy sets. Sometimes, some buttons can be zapped, but that comes from my preparation as soft. It is indeed important that the set is final (no addition of new tracks, new devices, new sends short drive) for Kapture caputre perfectly set.
Updates rather rare, but the application was already full from the beginning (since it was first tested by Plastikman live, there was not much interest in this plant).
Very simple to implement.
Either Kapture generates no sound. Allows capture the state of a live set in Ableton Live. So dedicated Live users.
In addition, there is the possibility of making morphing between four snapshots! It gives things totally inatendues.
