I bought a box with version 1, which does not offer the AU format (but nine 120 euros, hiha !!) ... MAS format is apparently DP3 (according to the table at the back of the package), and ... I work with DP4, suddenly, I was scared! but no, arturia of people put all this in a day v2, tlchargeable gratos on their site (21megas mac).
suddenly, the CD, double click on the wise v2 and AC drives, the standalone and AU are yours!
The manual, in French, is very good with the basics of subtractive synthesis, tutorial, basic, etc ... c cooool!

ADQUATION / PERFORMANCE

I have a dual 2GHz G5, 2gig RAM, a 828 mk2, ca superbly running standalone, a little harder in a big session with DP4 to 5 (rev, delay ...) 12 compress a plug, 6 ou7 filters :dropoff window
it will run but the display ram a bit, the MMV food quite proc resources, buffers may be to increase, depends on the latency, but hey I'm a bit pushed for even mm ...dropoff window
Standalone when changing patch, see to it that it is well loaded before sending a note: if one makes too fast ca plop in pregnant because all the wiring does not appear instantly.

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for one week and barely basic dj, Keske j'mammuse!
presets are not all to remember and you often remove the delay and chorus utiliss abused to discover big wicked sounds ... I spent a good 3 hours just to tweak my ammuser presets, sound is large, the grain is resonnances..aaaaahhh..c'est typ ... filters and it's good!
3 * 3 Osc, LFO to move filters, envelopes, etc., a squenceur analog, infinite modularity, I feel that the only limit of this synth ... that's me!

This is a Digital version of a Analog piece of gear that has been around for ages. If you are into analog sounds and synths and you love vintage gear then the Arturia Moog Modular V will be perfect for you. I really don’t use it that much and never really have I just like to have sounds like this around in case I get in the mood to make something a little different which happens from time to time. I bought this back in maybe 08 but I remember all of the original hardware vintage moog synths and how popular they use to be and I use to mess around with them a long time ago. Music has changed so much that hardly anyone still uses analog synths or even worse you cant even find them because most people just collect them now. So it was great that Arturia came out with a digital version of it. I will say that its not the same though, if any one reading this is old enough to really remember the original moogs from way back in the day then they will know what I mean.

Very easy to use and run, used it in Cubase for a while and its still configured to run in cubase I just don’t use it at all that much more but its good to keep around, I didn’t need a manual for it, in fact I don’t think I have ever opened the manual for Arturia Moog Modular V.


OVERALL OPINION

The greatest thing about this software is that it brings those old analog sounds back and in the digital form so you can play them whenever you want right from you laptop. But I can say that its not the same as the real mood. Mainly because even though its made to sound analog like the moog nothing, and I mean nothing in a digital form will sound as good as an original moog will. But if you want the closest thing to it then this is it.

No installation problems. The software works perfectly in standalone and VSTi.
The manual is clear enough to start immediately.

1.4 Ghz P3, 512 M. This is enough to play live almost all his imagination. You just have to be careful polyphony when there are many FM.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two weeks back.
The sound is monstrous, the best VST I've ever heard. Big sound, but with great finesse, the sweep filter resonance are beautiful. The program is very easy to keep in mind after some caches connections (keyboard or sequencer tracking).

It is just painful to change pages to settle and filter keyboard tracking, and without external keyboard difficult to program a sound, the keyboard is not accessible on the page of the cables. But the important thing is the sound, you can moan when programming, but what fun to play then!

Great!
The sound is huge, the bass is exceptional (attention to the speakers). This plug-in goes beyond all other plug-in "Vintage" including Native Instruments Pro 52/53 the already incredible.
The filters are exceptional.

The modular multiplies the possibilities of sound creation.

Teaching of presets can quickly understand the general principles of analog synthesis and Programming at light speed its own sounds

trs works well. I use plug-in (3 + at the same time another synth) and I use Cubase SX to control all this. It heats the process a bit, but it is trs if the PC is optimized.

It's really a tool for lovers of synthesis, because it is rather complicated to get by, but the joy of having total control connections ... super interesting ..
All factory patch is not good to take, but there has trs good. I go to an existing patch Souvant to a CRER me, and with a habit and APRS (long / hard) we make learning good stuff (sounds deadly water moving in all directions thanks to the analog sequencer ..)
Tremendous opportunities (number of oscillators / routing / sequencer / LFOs ..) for the one who has a doctorate in electronics!
It sounds bigger than Oddity and warmer than V-Station (and 100 times better than Reason), but it is true that mix is ​​not easy ..

Breathtaking! especially do not try it in the morning before going to work so may have a problem ......... the sound quality is exceptional, warm, round, sometimes aggressive .. the possibilities are huge and can accommodate all styles of music .. if so. as long as one knows a set vintage synth.

Cot's, SUPER, the sound is the real modulard Fidler, I possd cot price is reasonable, the only galaire is the mouse (not practical) would have had to sell a console with only pots and an interface via the computer, because the fact of the tune would change the game pots, having said that most of the sounds are found in the conventional synths (KURSWEIL AND OTHER ..... ) I calculate that the price of potensiometre + keyboard and trim and the software there would be 1500 in all it was said to repeat the modulard without the big electronics, only the computer, I think standard would have been a success !!!!!!!!!!!!!! same for the CS80, MiniMog etc. .........

PC Pentium 2.8 Ghz, Hoontech Sound card + video card to reduce CPU consumption in video and keep it for the sound. No pb, in "stand alone" as in Cubase VST. Stable, despite the many cables that is necessarily a fan of modular like me. (Sometimes very many ...)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years. I bought it because I wanted a little brother to me "Microwave" Waldorf (see my review this site). I researched, I found there. In fact, you should know that I have tested just about everything, but I buy very little because I tinker with my synth Synth Edit. In general, it is as well. I bought the modular Moog because of the quality of the restoration filters: very beautiful sound. 8 oscilloscope on two different filters and that the orchestra of Vangelis of a button! The module is very comprehensive in version 2. For this to be the only synth purchased from the microwave (I did the rest with it ...), is that really stands out! This does not crash, the possibilities are obviously endless modulation (I'll spare you the details: altogether a whole orchestra in the modulated synth via envelope followers, etc. ...), but it lacks the wave table (but Microwave on his Frero is there next ...)

J'ssaie using it for 6 months:
and actually buy a synth j'tais party type or FM7 Pro 53, passing through France, and the seller not having the corner, I top up the synth!

trs works well in stand alone.

trs works well with fruity loops. I have not tried it with cubase.
While his buddies cs 80v, minimoog, JP8 work great with fruity loops.

OVERALL OPINION

The sound is gnial!
It's fantastic! CRER can cool sounds but the problem is the wiring is a real head-taking.
Synth = 3 windows Different. How horrible!

I have no desire to CRER sounds with this software, a shame because the sound quality is to go.
In addition to not work with FL Studio.

I use a Macbook with Logic 9 and Ableton 7, so far not a single compatibility issue.  Works Great!  I have not looked at the manual, actually, I'm not really sure if came with one, but,  like many of Arturia's instruments, it is a physical model of the actual instrument and there fore most all of the functions are right in front of you.  Most questions can be answered by studying up on the workings of an actual Modular Synth. 
Is the config/setup simple?  Well that depends on how experienced you are on Modular synths.  This thing was a little daunting for me, and still is to be honest, due to the massive amount of options and modules.  If you really want to use this thing properly, study up (good site for some info is www.synthesizers.com).  The typical functions are very easy to access, they are all right in front of your face.

The software works great in Logic 9 and Ableton 7 as well as it works great as a standalone.  This software is very stable, it has never crashed on me nor has it ever failed to save or load a preset. 
Well, this is obviously a digital representation of a beautiful Analog Monster.  If you are trying to compare it to the real deal, you will be disappointed.  But, if you weigh that against the fact that the plugin costs thousands less, makes damn good sounds and can go with you anywhere you take your laptop, it gets a 10 out of 10 for me.  I have been using this plugin for about 6 months.  I am still pretty much a novice at it, but spending an hour on this unit once in awhile will yield some great sounds.


OVERALL OPINION

What do I like most about this plugin?  It sounds fantastic for what it is.  The options are virtually endless (or at least seem that way to me right now) and it fits right into my laptop.  What don't I like?  Well, its so large it doesn't fit entirely on screen.  Instead of creating a Scroll bar that you could operate via mac's 2 finger scroll option, or even the arrow keys, you have to click on the unit and drag.  Its not a huge problem, but when playing live, the former options would have been much better. 
I believe my studio partner got this is an Arturia synth pack for a few hundred bucks.  Every synth included rules so I say its worth every penny. 
Again, sound quality suffers in comparison to the real deal, but that is to be expected, especially when its a Moog (best synths in the world). 
This is the only Moog Modular plugin I have ever used. 
I would definitely buy this unit again, its a lot of fun despite the amount of time it takes to use.

The Arturia Moog Modular V was easy to install without any problems. I have used it both on a Mac and PC and it has worked fine with each of these. I had no compatibility issues and it overall set up was easy and quick. I don't have a manual so I don't know how helpful it is, but it could be helpful as there are a lot of virtual patches on this.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I currently run the Moog Modular V with a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM. I use it both as a standalone unit and in Logic. I have also used it with a Hewlett Packard lap top with a 3.0 Ghz processor and 2 GB of RAM both standalone and with Cubase SX 2.0. For both of these configurations it was stable. I would sometimes get latency on the PC, but that might have more to do with the midi interface or the computer.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using this software for about four or five years and have found it to be an incredible piece of software. The sounds are not only variety, but extremely realisitic and authentic sounding. A lot of the sounds on this sound like a real Moog and you can get sounds that are beyond the capabilities of a lot of synths out there. The presets are great and range from lead synths, to bass synths, to sound effects and they are all great sounding. Since it is a virtual modular synthesizer, it has endless patches which equals endless synth sounds. Compared to a real modular synth, which will cost you a ton of cash, this is quite cheap and I love using it with my MIDI controller. Overall, this is probably my favorite virtual synthesizer and I love the sound it produces.
