good when it first came out but now the drivers have issues

DSound RT PlayerPublished on 10/22/12 at 22:51
The RT Player has all of the features you need for your VST and VSTi plug-ins to be used in a studio or even in a live situation. It has 128 memory locations and a player for simultaneous back ground sound. It has a built in Limiter and over 12 FX effects are included with the RT Player. Setting it up is not really easy because there are lot of known issues with compatibility and drivers. So installing the RT Player could throw you for a loop when trying to get it running on your system. When it came out it was about 120 euros, I am not sure what it is going for now but I have been using it since 2004 and still do sometimes but because of the compatibility issues with newer systems it make…

When it came out it was about 120 euros, I am not sure what it is going for now but I have been using it since 2004 and still do sometimes but because of the compatibility issues with newer systems it makes it almost impossible to use because you can not trust it any more in a live setting.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Though the RT player is compatible for Windows and PC systems it is very difficult to know if it will work with a newer system. I have had several issues with running RT Player on a Windows Vista and Windows 7 machine so I had to just stop using it all together because it was too much of a hassle. But when it first came out it worked great on my Windows XP computer!
The effects that come with it where a huge bonus back then, with distortion, Reverb , BPM Delay, Auto Pan, Phaser, Tremolo, Flanger and a few others.

    OVERALL OPINION

The RT Player is ASIO ready, your PCI cards, FireWire and USB interfaces will have a latency of less then 10 ms which was great back then because your live performances really needed the RT Player but now you just can not trust it because I have not seen them come out with new updates and drivers.

a slight lag on my pc

DSound RT PlayerPublished on 07/24/12 at 15:19
D Sound RT Player is compatible with both mac and pc platforms. It will allow you to route any sound or vst player through your 16 different banks that it provides to give you all real time sounds. When using this on my windows laptop a few years back for some reason I was experiencing a slight delay in the sound after it would be processed through the D Sound RT player. Normally when I press a midi key the sound is immediate but when using the vst routed through D Sound RT Player there was like a few milliseconds of a delay before the sound would actually come out. Now this is something that I can deal with just because I don’t think its that big of a deal but I know a lot of people that h…

Normally when I press a midi key the sound is immediate but when using the vst routed through D Sound RT Player there was like a few milliseconds of a delay before the sound would actually come out. Now this is something that I can deal with just because I don’t think its that big of a deal but I know a lot of people that hate those little small lags and couldn’t deal with it. Several people that where using my laptop and using D Sound RT Player complained about this small lag a lot. I am not sure what caused the lag, but to me it wasn’t a big deal. So keep in mind that you could have some sort of a small lag with the D Sound RT player, but the lag is small minimal you can probably deal with it and it wont bother you that much. It is also depending on what type of system you are using, that will determine if DSound RT Player will configure properly.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Installing D Sound RT Player is very quick and easy. it’s a rather small software program and doesn’t take up much disk space. I never ran it on a mac, but I am sure that running it on a mac wont cause you any problems and it will work just as good as it does on a windows computer . (not sure about the delay though).

    OVERALL OPINION

There is no doubt you will enjoy having the D Sound RT Player in your set up. Its affordable and great, they do put out upgrades for it every once and a while and they will keep your posted on when they come out with them so you will stay updated.

The paramtrage with pdalier 1010 poses no problem, that's plutt positive. Another pretty cool thing is that it opens possibilities such normment 2 2 chorus delay and reverb derrire.
