    Easy installation, easy configuration.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Manuel Therefore, in French, with many examples and explanations.

Having already acquired Arturia emulation (ARP 2600), I saw the high quality of virtual synth developer. Thus, perfectly confident, I acquired the Arturia Moog Modular V and the Mini that question here. OVERALL OPINION

Having already acquired Arturia emulation (ARP 2600), I saw the high quality of virtual synth developer. Thus, perfectly confident, I acquired the Arturia Moog Modular V and the Mini that question here. After the complexity of Modular and, to a lesser extent, the ARP 2600, the use of the Mini Moog, Arturia reveals a child or game almost. Regarding the sound, I immediately raises doubt they are just perfect for my taste. Some incredible pleasure to find these fantastic sounds that we hear in his favorite records. I had the chance to discuss it a little more than a year, with Andy Tilisson (leader of "The Tangent") who explained to me wanting to sell his Mini Moog in 1973 because it was now in the emulations same sounds with facilities for storing presets. I understand better now that his words had me at the time, rather surprised! The use is quite simple since it is not a question here of a modular synth like its big brother or even ARP. The patches will show few and easy to perform. In general, the synth is very instinctive and does not need to be a keyboardist aware of all programming techniques to build up a good library of sounds. We found exactly what "organic" nature of the original with this special grain has its recognizable sound identity anywhere. The algorithms developed by programmers Arturia show all their power. In the manual, very comprehensive and clear, you can find an explanation of the specific process Arturia: the famous TAE able to reproduce the effects of discharge capacitors producing a slight bend in the waveform. Arturia currently seems to be the only one able to approach as near to the specific characteristics of the analog electronics. And that explains the reproduction quality of its software synths. An advantage, too, of this synth is the polyphony (obviously not on the original). Arturia and did not put there an option to discount: the sounds obtained keep the "grain" of the Mini Moog and greatly expand the possibilities of the instrument. Polyphonic sounds "Strings" and "brass" are particularly compelling: rich, beautiful and musical. Another compelling option: the "window" vowels that allows endless possibilities including an automatic change of sound by sweeping vowels being. You will understand: This software fills me.

    Classic sounds, in software?

    Arturia MiniMoog V v2Published on 11/02/11 at 00:03
I've wanted a mini-moog since they were 1st produced. This was an innexpensive way to enjoy a moog. An optional midi keyboard is a must for real playing. The sound reproduction is outstanding. Very intuitive interface. One needs to use a light and careful touch to make adjustments to the control knobs as the interface is small and the slightest motion makes large adjustments. . Information is somewhat sparse and for the novice, appears incomplete. The second reason for the lowered rating was the need to purchase a USB dongle to use the software on multiple machines. Information is somewhat sparse and for the novice, appears incomplete. The second reason for the lowered rating was the need to purchase a USB dongle to use the software on multiple machines. The license must be transferred back and forth via the USB dongle, which I find inconvenient. The user manual did not indicate this was needed or how to use it. For the relatively high price of the software the dongle should have been included. The online user forum isn't very helpful. One post indicated the software is a CPU hog. I use 2ghz Intel Core Duo processor laptop with 2gb of RAM. I haven't had any problems and can run several other application simultaneously. Loads of presets are provided making it easy to get the sounds you want. The user manual threw me for a loop though, it was very long and hard to understand. After spending an untold fortune on soft synths, I've found the centerpiece to my ensemble. Arturia's done an excellent job recreating the Moog sound. In addition, the modulation matrix allows you to create all sorts of twisted sounds. Tons of other features I can't even begin to list. Overall, a great product and I highly recommend it for some one looking for that classic moog sound that has been around for ages! This will give that just the software version which is really all you need with the way everything is done a computer now. If you want the actual moog you can still purchase on of those as well, but this will make you happier in the long run unless you collect vintage gear.
