No compatibility issues found while using this synth called Sylenth1.

The manual provided by Lennar Digital is very easy to understand , great positioning of the information , great book.

The general setup is very simple , nothing really complex , it usually takes about 5 minutes.

The typical functions are easy to spot , well designed , great guide provided with the soft.

The software is stable and I haven't encountered any distortion while working with it.

I'm getting a lot of great results while using Sylenth1 from Sonic Academy in designing my own sounds , starting from bass and ending with bells.

I've been using sylenth1 for a couple of years now.

    OVERALL OPINION

Sylenth1 From Lennar Digital is a 4 oscillators synth analog based.
What I like most about it is the fat sound that can be combined from 32 voices played by these 4 osc , the build in effects like arp , the adjustable chorus depth rate and feedback , a great reverb , a very powerful eq and delay.

I also do like that friendly interface that is easy to understand even for an amateur , another great tool is the sync with the tempo of your working station , the distortion tool is also capable of taking your musical elements on a whole new level.

My opinion about the value for the price is great , this is a pretty cheap product from an objective point of view , this synth is used so much in our music industry , it's crazy if you've never worked with it.

I've tried many synth models before and after sylenth1 , but still I'm using this synth almost in every song that I make , extremely useful synth that can be used in any musical genre.

Knowing what I know , I would buy this program again and again.

The book provided with the program was very good , you could get a wide understanding of the program itself within minutes or hours depending on your musical experience.

General configuration and setup is very easy and fast , it doesn't require any advanced installation or setup.

I've been using this product for about 2 years in a lot of electronic and pop composition.

    OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this product is how easy you can create your own electronic sounds , either if that involves pads , bells , bass or any other musical element.

This product may be learned quite fast , and in just a couple of days you can create your own unique sounds.

I do like as well the banks and preset provided with the program , Sonic Academy did a really good job while thinking this product and making it as useful as it is.

There is a great multi effects windows , so that way you can tweak with the desired effect in sylenth1 without wasting a lot of cpu resources.

My opinion about the value for the price is wow , this product is quite cheap concerning that it creates such amazing features and options to either work with an existing library or make your own , and even better , this product doesn't require a powerful machine to run on.

Sylenth1 is a virtual vst synth that combines the nice quality of an analog sound with a more contemporary electronic sound.
There are plenty of sound synths but there is something completely unique about sylenth1 , beside the general configuration that is really simple and functions that are easy to follow to get a nice deep sound.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software works great, it's always stable, it provides me with the sounds in my head that I'm trying to create, even if I've been using it for a while, when I'm making a whole new track either way I'm using sylenth1 to create something more original and unique.

    OVERALL OPINION

What i like most about sylenth1 is the design and how all the oscillators work together, it has 4 osc build-in, and you can insert 8 voices to them.

About the balance between price/quality all i can see it deserves even more than it's price, it really does, you have a lot of build-in fx to play with like: eq, compressor, delay, reverb, phaser and a whole of other great features provided with this complex and yet amazingly easy to use synth.

The precision and quality of the sounds are 10/10, one of the best synths on the market.
There are plenty of complicated synths that cost a lot, but don't let them fool you, sylenth1 will get the job done even if it's not the most expensive synth out there.
You can easily combine the nice sounds provided by sylenth1 with an epic piano to get some emotional electronic music, also you can practically build anything with all the possibilities provided by lennar digital.
All I can say is that I would go again with the lennar digital hand if I would want to get a nice synth, with a great design, not very exepensive but still that provided a hq sound, a lot of great producers nowadays use sylenth1 to make their own sounds, Armin does it, Airbase does it, so use it wisely and create something really massive for the whole world to be shocked.

    good editing abilities

Sylenth 1 was a vst that I was using for a while until I purchased a few other. But during the time while I was using it I was in love wit it. There are just so many options you have when using Sylenth and manpulation the sounds or editing them to the way you want them. The possibilities are really endless with this vst plug. It was easy to install and set up and use, no manual was needed and im not sure if there is actually one that comes with it or not because I didn’t have one I don’t think.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Sylenth worked great on my quad core pc and my laptop. It never crashed or froze. I only used in in Fl Studio so im not sure how it would work in any other DAW or midi sequencing program that’s out. I am curious to know if they have come out with another or newer version of it though?

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall, the sounds are really good. A lot of synths and spacey type of sounds that you can use in your mix and with a lot of different effects available right in Sylenth you will be able to get creative and start making sounds that no one else has, which is real important to me because in todays music everyone is using the same plug ins and the same keyboards so its good to have a vst that you can really make things sound “different” in or even use it to create your “own” signature sound that you will be remembered by. For the price (which isn’t bad at all) Sylenth is one of the best in that range. I have heard hit songs on the radio that have used the basic presets that come with Sylenth, so you know that its top quality. But at this point everyone has it, so its time for them to come out with a newer one or more presets to build off of.

    Installation:

It couldn't be easier! I was a bit disoriented at first because the file was not installed as an .exe file (all the VST I use are .exe) but rather as a .dll, like many other VSTs. But apart from that, nothing else worth mentioning.

    Problems?
None, however I couldn't find a Mac version, except for the demo.

    Configuration/User manual:
It's very simple, everything is grouped and super intuitive, at the configuration level it is optimal. You need to use it together with a sequencer and configure the VST from the sequencer.

No problems, it's not too resource-intensive, it's quite acceptable. You really need to open a lot of things to start perceiving signs of weakness!

    OVERALL OPINION

I've used it for two months, very intensely, so to speak. It has become my reference VST. I've tested the arturia family and Massive, but this one struck me as the most intuitive and with a very appealing performance report!

What I like the most is its sound quality, as well as its finesse and purity. Granted, it's not very bass-line or electronic synths-oriented. A small detail that I didn't like so much is that not all buttons are automatically assigned, so you need to do some sort of recognition by the software (using the recording function and turning the controls) in order for the buttons to be detected.

Its value for money is not bad at all, it's not very expensive, it works fine and it is intuitive.

If Lennar releases another VST or a big upgrade for this one, I will surely be tempted!

A step forward for software synthesis

    LennarDigital Sylenth 1Published on 08/31/11 at 21:56
I use this on a Mac Pro running Logic 9 and I have had zero issues. This is another Analog modeled synth so it is designed to look like a real table top synth. Because of this, most of the parameters have dedicated knobs, menus and buttons to control them making the setup/configuration relatively simple to those who have used table top synths in the past. I find the interface to be very clean and easy to navigate.

So far we have had no crashes or glitches with this synth nor has it ever caused a crash. It is really fun to design your own sounds and we have tons of user presets and have lost none of them. This synth is a beast and in terms of Software synthesizers, I give it a 10 out of 10 in performance. It offers all you would expect from a traditional table top synth with all of the benefits of software. I have been using Sylenth1 for about two months.

    OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this synth is its amazing sound quality. I play it against some hardware synths we have in the studio and it holds it's own better than any other soft synth with the exception of omnisphere. I feel Omnisphere and Sylenth are in the same class. The lows are full and deep and the highs are crisp but not brittle. The overall texture of the synth is significantly warmer than my usual go to synths Absynth 5 and Korg Legacy Cell. Not much to dislike about this synth. It can eat some CPU but not nearly as much as Omni does. We paid around $200. In terms of soft synth value, this one is very much worth the money. I give it a 10 out of 10 in sound quality. I have used more soft synths than I care to remember. This is the first one in awhile that has really broken some new ground for Soft synthesis. Yes, I would definitely buy this synth again if I had to.

The Lennar Digital Sylenth 1 is a virtual synthesizer, aimed at reproducing analog synth sounds. The virtual instrument comes in VSTi and Audio Unit formats and will work on both Mac and PC operating systems. I don't own this synth so I don't currently have it running on my system at home, but I've used it a lot on my room mate's system. Sylenth 1 boasts two separate oscillators, a mixer, filters, two modulation envelopes, two LFO's, and a slew of built in effects including a phaser, EQ, delay, reverb, compression, and an awesome arpeggiator. It's not too hard of a virtual synth to use, but prior knowledge of synthesizers is definitely necessary. A manual might be a good thing to have around if you're looking to learn all the ins and outs, but isn't totally necessary for experienced users.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

While I don't have all the specs on the computer that my roomy is running Lennar Digital Sylenth 1, it's a Mac Intel Tower with 10 GB of RAM, so needless to say we're not hurting for power. I've used Sylenth 1 only in Logic Pro 9 and I'm not sure it's compatibility with other DAWs. I've never encountered any problems related to performance with Sylenth, as it always runs smoothly without issues. If you have a slower system I'd recommend printing whatever you do with it to save space, but that's always going to be the case...

    OVERALL OPINION

Lennar Digital's Sylenth 1 is one of the coolest virtual synthesizer that I've used in a while. It brings a ton of great sounds to the table that are easy to manipulate in many different ways. I especially like Sylenth for it's great arpeggiator, which is one of the best of it's kind that I've used. I love the control here as you'll never run out of options and different sounds. The price tag on Sylenth isn't huge but it's incredibly cheap. Either way this shouldn't be the biggest factor if you're looking for a game changing virtual synthesizer like this one. Check out a demo today if you're intrigued as you should be!

Installed by a professional (at the same time I updated and upgraded my gear and pc), so I can't say much about the installation, except that it took about 15 minutes while I chatted with the shop assistant.
No need for a user's manual.

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

New PC from early 2010 (dedicated solely to composing and recording) that isn't a behemoth.
To give you an idea, I use cubase 5 with VSTis like Omnisphere (multitimbral = several sounds at the same time) to write music, and the CPU load is not too high.
Sylenth works perfectly (I sometimes use several sylenths per song). Using three sylenths on one song with reason 5 via rewire in cubase 5, CPU usage rises to 30% or 40%.

    Very stable setup.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for one week.
    I have other plug-ins (omnisphere, reason 5, FM7/8, ...)

After having worked with it several times, I know what to expect in terms of sounds and they are awfully good. Don't try to reproduce the sound of a piano, that's not the goal. On the contrary, it's a real joy to play with the filters and programming options of this synth. What's more, the filters won't break your speakers, even if they are really powerful.
It sort of of recalls my old "hardware" synths. but with more purity and precision.
    I would buy it again.

Very easy on a mac and everything is very intuitive

    SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Is use sylenth on up to 5 or 6 tracks in Logic and everything works perfectly.

    OVERALL OPINION

For me, the Sylenth 1 is a small revolution. Every time I write a new song now there is at least one line with it.
It's true that it has a digital sound, but it's good, large, wide and spatial (nice pads and excellent leads)
We can find many sounds used by artists such as Lady Gaga and many others.
It is very versatile and it doesn't make you weary.
It is in fact the plug-in I use the most right now.

This software works well in both of my DAW's and performs exceptionally. All of the stock sounds that come with it load instantly and sound extremely brilliant. The CPU load is immensely low and the VST can be used over and over and over again in the same track with no stutter or lag. The VST itself is roughly 20mb of space and the sounds that come with it you would assume take up gigs upon gigs. They don't. This is one of Sylenths brilliant points. It is remarkably stable too, I have never found any crashes using soley this VST. I have been using it for a couple of months now.

    OVERALL OPINION

I absolutely adore the sounds that come with this VST. The stock presets are beyond any other synth I have used too. The amazing thing is there are a ton of sound banks available for Sylenth too that add to the already massive library of presets. The sound quality of the prests in this synth is brilliant too, and most of the sounds fit into any mix effortless with miniimal EQ or filtering needed. It can be a nightmare to filter out the weaker sounds from the better sounds though. This vst is a must purchase for anybody looking to create pop, RNB or hip hop music.
