SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
New PC from early 2010 (dedicated solely to composing and recording) that isn't a behemoth.
To give you an idea, I use cubase 5 with VSTis like Omnisphere (multitimbral = several sounds at the same time) to write music, and the CPU load is not too high.
Sylenth works perfectly (I sometimes use several sylenths per song). Using three sylenths on one song with reason 5 via rewire in cubase 5, CPU usage rises to 30% or 40%.
Very stable setup.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using it for one week.
I have other plug-ins (omnisphere, reason 5, FM7/8, ...)
After having worked with it several times, I know what to expect in terms of sounds and they are awfully good. Don't try to reproduce the sound of a piano, that's not the goal. On the contrary, it's a real joy to play with the filters and programming options of this synth. What's more, the filters won't break your speakers, even if they are really powerful.
It sort of of recalls my old "hardware" synths. but with more purity and precision.
I would buy it again.
