[NAMM] Washburn splits Heritage line

Washburn has reorganized its Heritage line, splitting it into the 10, 20, 30 and 40 series based on the choice of back and side woods.

Washburn Guitars introduces its new Heritage line, splitting it into the 10, 20, 30 and 40 series. The differences between the four series are primarily based on the choice of back and side woods, with the Heritage 10 being Mahogany, Heritage 20 favoring Rosewood, Heritage 30 choosing Tamo Ash and Heritage 40 opting for Flame maple. Most models feature a solid spruce or cedar top.

The Heritage 10 Series encompass 9 models announced “at a working musician price”. They are available in dreadnought, folk and grand auditorium styles. Most are available in natural finish with B designating “black”, TB for “tobacco burst” and LH “left handed”. All feature solid spruce tops (solid cedar on 11 Models and solid mahogany on 12 series) for quality tone that aims at improving with age. All have mahogany back, sides and neck, a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, diecast tuners for quick, easy and accurate tuning, a Washburn tortoise pickguard and a custom rosette. Models are also available with cutaways for better upper fret access, and Fishman 301T Tuner /Preamps for natural amplified tone.

The Heritage 20 Series are a step up from the 10 Series with an upgrade to rosewood back and sides and Ebonite tuning buttons. Other specs are the same. Two dreadnought models are available, the HD20S and HD20SCE that includes a cutaway and Fishman 301T Tuner/Preamp.

The Heritage 30 Series feature tamo ash back and sides and gold tuners. Other specs are the same. The dreadnought model available is the HD30SCE, a cutaway with a Fishman 301T Tuner/Preamp.

Finally, the Heritage 40 Series are jumbo body style with flame maple back and sides. Other specs are the same as the Heritage 30 Series. The HJ40SCE includes a cutaway and Fishman 501T Tuner/Preamp.
