There is as usual, everything has been said and a small tower on the site builder is to be considered to be unbeatable on machinchose gray.
Little reminder anyway:
5 octave keyboard Forsythe everything is more normal, however you get used very fast and incredibly forgiving the inaccuracies that can be done on a heavy touch. Be careful, the MO has no aftershave ... Finally ... aftertouch.
Inside is everything a workstation class a pattern may suggest:
Voice-to play the plant patches / characters
Performance-mode to play multiple patches (4Max) together or separate layer.
Patern-mode to rhythmic patterns and melodic
Song-mode to use the sequencer
Audio Connectors, midi, pedals, USB booked solid
Full of sound, full of effects with the modular tirelarigot Bazaar Knobs placed in the left corner pattern unique to the series.
Attention, 64 notes polyphony, it's quickly seen when you put 2 Instruments in childbirth, and a patern arpeggiato a battery at the same time
For organists hardcore, the Leslie starts with the modulation wheel and it is very practical.
Usually comes with Cubase AI
UTILIZATION
Configuration Yamaha ...
-> It's a little mess when you first turn it on
The manual is clear and thankfully because you learn it by heart, but rest assured you it can be done even by a donkey like me
After, when we all orders well in mind, it goes very fast to edit, change modes and so on.
SOUNDS
INCREDIBLE
except for some acoustic guitars, this one takes the best sounds ever produced for a synth, Motif ES that of course. Since the motif XS came out with patches more pests, but those have yet bright future and are still well above all competitors who still dare to venture into the sample on the beds of Yam.
Go listen to some performances on youtube and you'll see what I mean.
Special mention for organs, Rhodes and electric guitars that could stun an Irishman in the prime of life.
For a glimpse, http://www.myspace.com/vapeurselectriques all synth, organs, pianos etc. are recorded from the MO6
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for two weeks and I only just beginning to harness the power contained in this gray box.
That model, which I think is much more designed for home-southerners and the scene as major studios or film music hobbyists who are respectively constrained by the complexity of the interface and 64 notes polyphony.
I tried the world before dégoter: MM6, JUNO, TR etc etc. With a budget of € 1000 new, it's the best choice you can do both this keyboard can create the desire to play and give ideas to compose.
Repeat this choice? Ben just so!
Update 10/2008: It's been 2 months that I have and I'm madly. I became possessive and sometimes I cower in the corner of a cave and tighten it against me, whispering "moooooon précieuuuuuuuux" ...
... The pills do not affect ...
