In the world of DJ mixing desks, many models have had their day, new generations of technology Plastered take over but some actually have something more to bring them within the closed "cult" ... the dimension 07 Samurai is one.

This is a very elegant table, the very special design, the Japanese Samurai theme speaks volumes about the quality of this mixer. Ornate Metallic Grey and a beautiful purple facade, we immediately feel that you are on a high-end product. Its price at the time was around 1800euros, a fortune reserved for wealthy enthusiasts. For the rest of the features, it is the same as a conventional PMC 07 Pro with the 2 RCA inputs LINE / PHONO / MIC, 2 RCA / JACK, and equalize adjustment fader curve but with a big difference a Cross- digital fader with adjustable sinusoidal curve!

UTILIZATION

At use no problem as often with Vestax, all features are available, the class table design more! I had PMC 05, Numark, an E-CLER, test RANE récement ... I had a PMC 07 who had already seduced me ... hoping to have a dedicated model as the ISP I ... even better Samourai and 07 more. I was eager to know what gave a little Famous Cross-fader digital and I was not disappointed! It is an impressive precision, surgical and saber sound speed and enjoyable cleanliness. It also gives an impression of great strength. For comparison I found well above the more precise than that of my old Numark DXM Pro PMC classic models in 05.07 Vestax,. I prefer it to the RANE TTM57 which is light and too plastoc. The curve adjustment is light years away from the E-CLER HAK 360, this is my opinion of course but at the same time it is so rare that few people have tested vraimment. I would say that the final cross resembles that of the ISP but better!

SOUNDS

Regarding his part I had been surprised at the sound quality of my PMC 07 PRO and I must say that analog or digital renderings on this PRO D impécables. No breath, equalize is accurate, the amplification is good. So it sure is a table that has 10 years, I do not know too the quality compared to new, but it is for mixing Hip Hop or Electro is of high quality and especially well balanced!

OVERALL OPINION

I still thank me Beatmaker sold it, I also took time to realize that I have a mixer rare, collectible and very very ... very powerful at the same time. This is not a commercial version and catch pigeons at the time, it was expensive but of course there are top of the ladder. I read a lot that the Cross-fader alone justifies the investment. Indeed I confime is a real Samurai sword! But beyond the cross is also for the rest of us a part of the old dream knowing that it is a gem found especially the model 07 and in the afternoon it scratch the serious fact. As its name suggests it is a table of Legend!

Gnrales the technical features are the same as for PMC 07 standard except the crossfader: battle hip hop mix 10''format, 2 channels with corrections GMA 6-24 dB and panoramic faders, microphone GA 12-12 dB with corrections and panoramic fader and a session between line level.

UTILIZATION

SOUNDS

The console does not suffer any noise problem, but the gain is powerful enough attention to the problem while the structure-borne transmission to users of turntables
The qualiseur is effective but the use of faders can be Drout for the uninitiated.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this table in use turntablism since 6 years, I tried to battle the tables: Vestax pmc05proII pmc06pro pmc007pro pmc08pro, djm909 djm707 Pioneer, Numark dxmpro ...
A nine 1850euros this mix and battle the most prohibitive in the history of turntablism but crossfaderX samurai vestax alone justifies the investment.

Bad luck for you this table is no longer produced and I do not ever sell it ...
