All the Vox Night Train G2 amps are compact valve amps featuring Class AB circuits, with three 12AX7 preamp tubes. The 15W NT15H-G2 head and NT15CA-G2 combo use two EL84 power tubes, while the 50W NT50H-G2 includes two EL34.
All the models offer two foot switchable channels (with the optional VFS1A footswitch). The Bright canal is designed for clean and crunch tones, the Girth channel will take care of high gain sound, Vox adds that the sound was improved on this new generation. A Thick mode allows for bypassing the tone control circuit and boosting the gain.
You’ll also find on these amps a digital reverb designed specifically by Vox for this series, along with an effect loop and a DI output.
Both NT15H-G2 and NT50H-G2 heads can be plugged to the V212NT-G2 and V112NT-G2 cabinets. The first hosts two Celestion 70th Anniversary G12H speakers, the second uses one Celestion G12M Greenback.
The design of these amps remain true to Vox style, with black enclosures and black and diamond cloth grille and handles are included for easy transporting.
The Night Train G2 amps will be available this fall, Vox announces the following US pricing:
