Ibanez AEL10
Published on 04/17/03 at 15:00First of all, I bought this guitar from American Musical Supplies over the Internet. I was looking for an acousticelectric but thought that the prices were too high. I'm a left handed guitar player so my options are pretty slim. I've always had good luck with Ibanez products in the past and found this guitar and decided to purchase it. I paid $309.00 for the guitar and then waited for it to arrive.
When the guitar arrived, I pulled it out of the case and tuned it up and started playing. The action was incredible...the best I've ever seen on an acoustic. As I continued to play, I realized that I was doing bar chords up high and getting away with it. No buzz. I started picking out some...…

As I continued to play, I realized that I was doing bar chords up high and getting away with it. No buzz. I started picking out some tunes and could not put it down. Great finish, great sound, great action. Then I plugged in the amp. The sound was great. I wasn't disappointed. The lows and highs really came out. This is a great buy.
The only thing that I don't like is that I could it only came in black for me. Not a big deal. It is worth the money and the finish is beautiful.
The quality is great. I can't believe that this guitar is so cheap.
Great buy. If they sold it in different colors for left-handed players, I would purchase more of them.

Virtual Decadence
Published on 09/09/05 at 02:27 (This content has been automatically translated from French)
A jumbo cutaway.
3-band EQ and contour very effective.
Lutherie average but quite consistent with the price.
UTILIZATION
The acoustic sound is not very nice (however I'm not used to jumbo). Lack of deep bass and treble that breaks non-existent ears. At the same time considering the price ...
The sound is electro against him rather surprising. The preamp is set so fine.
Passed through a tube preamp or even a POD XT (with choice of amp Piezo even if it is not for real to electro acoustic case), I get a sound that will delight fans of large rhythmic slamming or not a metal arpeggios.
Avoid ryhtmiques wholesale agreement with a pick too hard anyway.

The action is a bit high (I do not care a bit but my girlfriend was moaning a lot before I make the deal) so be sure to have it settle the purchase. Since setting .. a treat even for a little girl in hand.
SOUNDS
I bought it as a travel guitar (electro because I travel with my Mac) and I do not really sorry for this award. I think I will use it also for the rhythm in my home studio because I can work well for the sound of rhythmic incorporated into a mix of pop rock type. When I compare the sound with an acoustic dreadnought, I cry it's so sharp (but not too unbalanced). In electro we correct it finely enough.
For a beginner, I suggest as a first electro (this says for the price, look at Cort there are probably better .. I had no time to time when I bought it)
The Ibanez however, known to be fragile, we'll see. Too bad there's no plate pickguard still nags for rhythm with a pick like me.
(EDIT: yes after a year is not beautiful tracks on the table right where you put the pickguard normally ).
OVERALL OPINION
I've had just one week.
I love the electrification. I love the clean look.
I tried all kinds of models in this price but quick. It was not necessarily the best in acoustic, but it was not the most expensive nor the least attractive and above all the sound and the possibilities of electro settings preamps justifies this choice.
08/2005 EDIT: Now it's been a year and after looking at the same price at Cort, Takamine, and even Fender, I do not necessarily view as positive on this guitar. It's still a good electro but some others are also sound more than adequate.

UTILIZATION
I was looking for a good guitar to the rhythm of the Celtic rock only amplified.
All extras deficits above make it very practical in performance.
The handle is much more comfortable than my old folk which ignores two times pais.
Books with the strings are quite hard (D'Addario EXP Coated 80/20).
It is plutt heavy, but with a good strap, no problem.
I quickly pick al-guard plate to the right place in the redcoupant because the rose is very Diameter. Fortunately, because in the words of Virtual Decadence, the pick gard is well dj ray does have the same black glaze :-(
SOUNDS
At first glance:
- Acoustics, sound flat. But I will not use it well.
- In electro: on my amp AER Compact 60 the sound is great, warm and clear. It may be with rgl prcisment qualisation intgre and prsence button. It is on my amp I have tried in the store, and I compare that to other Chres trs. The Ibanez AEL10E not blush before them!
OVERALL OPINION
Tration, I'm glad trs. I prciserai ultrieurement APRS use in situations.
