UTILIZATION

the handle is super nice, round with a good grip, fast, most excellent. My easel head literally exploded a few years ago, so I took the opportunity to replace the plastic frets (head and bridge), by small pieces of bone that my luthier prepare her little hands skilful.

SOUNDS

I use it every day, even if only 5 min and she really accepts all styles of games. gypsy jazz, pop, through picking, everything is really nickel. the only downside would be the presence of low, having a cut-off prevents them from really out. but trying several sets of strings you do get the sound you want and the strings that we like. in my case it is mounted in Argentina 11-46 (pr strings typical gypsy jazz) but this is the best I've found for the sound I like, they really accept all styles and are a good compromise quality / price but that's another discussion ....

it has been about 8 years it is mine, I had found a store of Cygnus or you can find anything, and I fell in love with her curves. 6-string guitar made in China.
Channel, mahogany back and sides, spruce top (not solid). (A score of 9 / 10)
Rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
Channel 20 Frets, Scale 648mm, D profile, 42mm at nut, 53mm at 12th fret.
Mechanical oil bath chrome.
Equipped with a micro piezo and a 3-band preamp gain + model TP4.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice with easy access to the treble cutaway.
The frets are well placed and polishing is very well done. It is with the edges of the button we do not even feel.
The instrument is well balanced and the body is not very thick (10cm) which enhances usability.
The setting of the preamp is childish and you get easily a good record sound, while retaining its type Takamine (quite round with rich media).

SOUNDS

Sound side, I tapp on target!
I'm more oriented rock, blues / rock and this guitar suits me 100%.
To give an idea, we obtain, in acoustics, the sound of "New York with you" Phone or the intro to "La Grange" and ZZ.
However, we can forget the crystalline sounds hyper, unless you change the strings, must see ...
The volume of the body is reduced, we lose the low amplitude and are not his strong point, but it is a characteristic of this category (all brands).
With regard to the sound power, I have yet to acoustic amp, I tried it on a VOX AC30 that is not really suitable and the original sound was "a little" unnatural. I do not keep account of this test for my note.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week of intensive!
I love the quality of the violin, the finish is very neat and the price / quality ratio is excellent. In addition to her look fabulous!
Its side, it's a matter of taste, I can only invite you to try it!
I tried a lot of models in this price range, but it suited me better because the neck profile was quite similar to that of my Gibson SG.
This is a good instrument for the rhythm in a record rock / blues and it's a way to access the magical world of Takamine for a price just right (270 Euros).
I would definitely do it again this election.
