The Schertler Magnetico pickup is neither a traditional humbucker nor a single coil pickup, but it uses proprietary electronics and active multi-coil proprietary technology.
The Magnetico pickup is available in different versions for acoustic guitar/banjo/mandolin (A-Series), electric guitar and bass (E-Series) Fender and Gibson-like guitars (R-Series, replacing humbuckers and single coil pickups), and custom applications (S-Series).
The first model that will be introduced at Musikmesse will be the AG6 for acoustic guitar, which installs into the sound hole and is equipped with a volume control and an external input for connecting a second pickup. This system is available with either an internal jack for permanent installation or external jack.
Two new microphones will also be introduced in Frankfurt, for use with the Magnetico AG6 pickup: a dynamic contact microphone with moving coil and an external condenser mic.
The Magnetico E-Series will also be exhibited at booth F85, Hall 3.1.
