[NAMM] 2 new Behringer nearfield monitors
Behringer introduced at NAMM Show 2014 the new Media 40USB and Studio 50USB amplified monitors.
Both new Behringer Media 40USB and Studio 50USB are two-way bi-amplifed monitors delivering 40W and 100W respectively and equipped with a USB input on the rear for direct playback from a compatible device.
The Media 40USB feature TRS and RCA inputs as well as a front panel headphone output that will automatically cut the speakers, and an 1.8” aux input. The volume knob on this model is only accessible from the front panel.
The Studio 50USB host a 4” long-thrown woofer, a 1” silk dome compression tweeter, volume and tweeter sensitivity controls, as well as XLR and TRS inputs. Digital (USB) and analog inputs can be used simultaneously.
Both monitors are magnetically shielded so you can place them next to a display.

The best 8-inch powered monitor speakers for less than 700€ per pair Sometimes you need a couple of big speakers, but can't necessarily afford them. Don't panic! There are some speakers with an 8-inch woofer that can manage the low end quite decently without setting you back more than 700€ (about $800). We haven't tested all of them, but you probably have had (or have) the chance to listen to most of them.
